How's your wifi connection on Note 3?

Trading the Note 3 in tomorrow for another iPhone. Sorry Samsung...it was fun while it lasted or worked at least.

I turn off my Mobile Data Completely and the WiFi seem to be ok… connected and browse the web for a few hours now and no message that say that the WiFi is unstable. MAY BE that some app are trying to access mobile data instead of WiFi. Oh i also turn off Auto Network Switching. Hopefully this will work for some of you. I know turning on and off your mobile data is only a short term solution (if it work for you). I'm hoping that someone will come up with an actual solution as i love my note 3.

I keep saying it but it's not the note 3 that's the issue....it's android 4.3....hopefully carriers will receive the small update Google sent out to fix the wifi and a few other issues....wifi issues were a big problem when 4.3 came out....had it on my new nexus 7.

Every since I turned my mobile Internet off while I was on Wifi, I haven't lost my Wifi connection once. And I was losing it like every 5 minutes before that. I'm on Tmobile

I think it is the 4.3 that is causing the problem ,spoke to Samsung and they believe it a issue with 4.3 and the WiFi having a conflict. I have tried everything that is possible to rectify the problem with no solution. This is a problem of Google and i hope we will get a fix soon as this had been very frustrating to say the least! Went to an ATT service center and they said the phone is to new and couldn't work on it at this time. They told me to try some of the solutions that we all know about and does not fix the problem..my grace period is up to return phone so this has to be resolved or I'm stuck with a faulty phone. Expect the worst hope for the best!

I've only gotten the unstable message where I know the wifi signal is weak. At a retreat last weekend and my job, radiology lead lined walls give my phone fits. I come home and phone picks my wifi up just fine no stutter or lag(Apple router)

I had same problem right out of the box. Clearing the cache worked for me and others. Here's the steps:

-Power the device off (remove and re-insert the battery).
-Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
-When the device vibrates; release only the Power key while still holding the other two keys.
-When the Android system recovery menu displays; release the Volume Up and the Home key.
-Navigate with the Volume keys to the "wipe cache partition" option and press the Power key to select.
-Wait for the cache is cleared. While reboot system now is highlighted, press the Power key and reboot the device.

Hopefully this works for you as well.

Also, you shouldn't have to turn off Auto-connect, that's a feature we want.

Tried clearing the cache no go there is a problem with 4.3 no dought. Have to wait it out for a fix.

I'm from the UK and experiencing the same problems. I've even tried 2 different routers. The problem is even worst for me as it totally screws up my wifi network for all devices. I know my Apple router is solid as I've NEVER had a problem with it and I've had it for years. I think it was one of the updates as I didn't have the problem initially? I have switched off Auto Network Switch and Wifi Timer. I've also switched on Keep Wifi on During Sleep and set it to always as my problem is usually when the phone wakes from sleep. Anyway I will test this weekend and report back. Samsung needs to provide a fix. The phone is a beast (and I previously owned iphones), but an issue like this will only result in people returning their handsets!

HI. I'm in Canada & I just got the Note 3 at Bell. I have had the same unstable wifi issues so I phoned Bell & was told Samsung is aware of the issue & not only is it happening in Canada, but Samsung says it's happening all over the world. Bell told me Samsung is working on a software update to push out ASAP - hopefully within a week. I asked if there are any other known software or hardware issues with the Note 3, and was told not that they know of.

It's odd.. If it was 4.3 I'd have the issue and I don't.

My husband and i were sitting opposite each other at Starbucks(outside sitting area). I noticed that my husband's S4 was able to connect to the Starbucks Wi-Fi while i was not able to connect to the Wi-Fi unless if i sit inside the shop.

Is there anything wrong with my note 3?

For what it's worth, in my home, I now get a decent signal everywhere with my Note 3. My Note 2 always struggled in the same areas with weak signal. Possibly have a bad radio?

I am on Tmobile too, and was at one time thinking about returning it because the wifi was giving me garbled sound when calling people. Turned the wifi off and everything ok.. I see everybody is recommending turning off mobile data while on wifi.. Going to try that and see how it works. Everything else is super..

the phone is not fully functional you should not have to turn off wifi or mobile data . there is a problem with the phone what ever it might be and it need to work perfectly with no adjustments. would you keep a new car if the air conditioning didnt work but everything else was fine . i dont think so, samsung better get with the program and stop sending out phones that dont work properly they are getting to cocky and dont care about quality control as they have gotten to big for details,i guess they are taking lessons from the US government. This is inexcusable period.

Yeah, I'm having issues playing YouTube videos and watching hockey games on NHL Gamecenter. The YouTube videos will play maybe a second of video and then pause/never resume. Turning HQ video off doesn't help. With NHL Gamecenter I can start watching a game and then maybe a minute into the game it cuts off like it lost the connection. I can restart the feed but it just repeats the error. Only other app I use that is similar is Netflix. I have not used it yet.

This is very annoying. My Moto Razr worked just fine. I already know Verizon won't push any update that Google comes out with for a while.

You may be on to something there. I would have issues with some updates on my Note 3 over wi-fi. But using just cell data the files would download fine.
The wife hasn't had a problem with her S4 since I switched routers (about a month ago). She did the 4.3 update and all of a sudden she couldn't download the Google Maps update.
She asked me to have a look at the issue and I turned off wi-fi. The file downloaded with no problem.

I'm sad to hear there may be an issue with 4.3. But I'm happy the problem is not just with the Note 3.

I've not tried turning off cell data and trying the download. Next time I run into an issue like that (which is pretty much every 3rd update or so) I will try turning off cell data and using wi-fi only.

Wifi needs a update. I have had minor issues, that I never had on my note2.
