How's your wifi connection on Note 3?

Re: The ultimate Solution to Samsung Galaxy note 3 wifi dismal drop outs

Note 3 on ATT here and wifi sucks. Any other phone I have holds my home wifi way better then the note 3. And around the house it really sucks because I have 3G in my town. I can be inside or outside the house and only 25 feet from the router and lose the wifi connection

Have done everything including wiping the cache it seems somewhat better but still getting the WiFi connection unstable in some spots. Called Samsung they say they are working on a patch to rectify the problem! Not holding my breath but maybe they will
Come through. We shall see !

Tried a different router
Checked unchecked rebooted every wi fi setting still doesn't work

Oh yeah.... Think I will wait on this purchase then... Certainly cannot afford to be without Wifi because then my data with Verizon would be outta control!!!

I bought the Note 3 last week from Verizon. I must say that I love the phone and all the features. I am a network engineer and can definitely attest to the wifi connectivity issues. My Wife and my Mother both picked up the Note 3 on the same day and they have not had the issue yet, or at least have not noticed it.

My Note 3 will connect to my work network, $500.00 Aruba APs all over the place with full strength, except for it drops the connection sporadically. Not a single phone or tablet with my other employees is having any issues which tells me it is definitely my Note 3. (Not to mention my previous iPhone 4S never dropped connection)

At home, I am using a cheap/basic wifi router that is provided by my ISP and I have the same issue of dropping connection almost constantly. Extremely frustrating when I need wifi in my rural area with no real cell tower coverage!

I have tried every fix I can think of and I have yet to resolve the issue. My hopes are that the issue is simply a software patch but my gut feeling tells me different since only about half the Note 3 users I see on this forum are having issues.

Samsung needs to address this problem quickly or I will be forced to go back to iOS based devices....bummer!

Still good here on T-Mobile after turning those 2 options off in wifi settings.

Hi, also having problems with Note 3, keeps losing wifi connection, we have both S3 and S4 connected to the same wifi network with no problems. Really annoying, as the Note 3 keeps making a notification sound when losing connection every few second.

Hope Samsung sorts this out fast...

For those on T-Mobile, expect an update in the next 2 weeks.

Re: How's your wifi connection on note3?

I have problems maintaining a Wi-Fi connection as well. I have the Note 3 on Verizon. I unchecked auto-connect feature as some have suggested, but that did not seem to help. Signal strength is strong and my other Wi-Fi devices are not having any problems. I keep getting "Wi-Fi connection is unstable" notification on the phone and then it drops. Seems to happen every few minutes. Does anyone out there know of any solutions? My Note 2 was awesome, but if this Wi-Fi problem on the Note 3 can't be fixed, I will have to go back to the Note 3. = (

I've been reading the threads about the wifi issues and I wonder if the issue isn't the phone itself but Android 4.3. I have the new nexus 7 and I know that when it was updated to 4.3 there were issues with wifi connectivity, touchscreen, and gps issues. We received another update that corrected all these problems.

Just my 2 cents.

My wifi is awesome. I'm probably 100 yards from my apartment's office and I use their wifi all the time. I usually have between 2-4 bars showing.

Re: How's your wifi connection on note3?

I get occasional messages that I have a poor wifi connection but actual wifi performance has been fine on my Note 3.

Most of the problems have not been speed but instead stable connectivity. As I was browsing forums I lost connectivity every minute or so. Strength has been no real issue for most.

For those that have issues with wifi and verizon, try this....

Turn off the app called caller name id...you might having the trial period on causing your 4G or 3G to be running constantly no matter what making wifi run funky.....i did this and my wifi is now back to running in tip top shape....for now anyways lol...

Note 3 on o2 network in the UK.

Have same problems as other in this thread, unstable wifi and randomly switches to 4g and back to wifi. Really need an update or a solve for this. Have tried the solutions that others have found to work but they do not work for me. Very annoying - Have thought about returning and getting a new one but it seems same problems will arise.

My Wifi seems to work fine when at home or at work. Could be a problem with your note 3 or issues with Starbucks Wifi. Sorry to hear your having issues. :(
