How's your XL running these days?

It sounds standard if you use he home button to "end" apps (it doesn't, if just runs the launcher). If you use the back button, no. If you restart the phone once in a while, no.

I use Nova (I won't use anything else that's out there) and SwiftKey. Never clear cache (app or system) - but I do turn the phone off periodically. And I use the back button to end apps.

Totally agreed ...

Mine is about 14mnths old and still runs great... You should restart / reboot at LEAST once a week, use the back button to go "back", not "home" don't clear cache or force close apps... and just be aware of what apps your installing because alot of apps on the app store really are bullsh@t, whether it's pop up ads or just plain stupid... there's only a few are really useful...

I'm waiting for my unlock code from EE to switch to O2, but I'm keeping my XL....
IMO, these so_called new features on Phones in 2018 are mainly just gimmicks and don't do enough to justify the £700+ price tag
