HTC 10 and AT&T

How has at&t been treating your 10's? Did you have trouble getting VoLTE working and how did you get it resolved?

Ok Can anybody answer this....
Can the phone do 4G LTE while on a call.
Mine keeps dropping to HSPA+ whenever I use the phone.
I went to the AT&T store and the rep pop her chip in to the phone and it did the same thing.
I called HTC to ask them if its possible to do the 4G LTE while on the phone and I couldn't get a straight answer from them.
So here is what I'm looking for, is there anybody out there with the HTC 10 on AT&T that when you make a call the LTE symbol stays on when you make a call.
And whats up that HTC made that LTE symbol so small.
Thanks this crap is driving me nuts.
I'm looking to switch from Verizon to AT&T and I would really like to know if this phone can do it!

LTE stays active when i'm on a call

So far no issues here that I am aware of, but that doesn't mean AT&T can do something stupid suddenly.

I know some people that had this issue fixed it with a factory reset. Also, did you have a branded phone or unlocked phone before the 10?

I am not on AT&T but I know on T-Mobile branded phones you have the option to use VoLTE. Check under settings > phone to see if there is an option there to use / not use VoLTE.

I did the reset and same thing.
I have a prepaid card with AT&T.
When I got the Sim card I had it in a Moto X Pure at first.
I tried the Sim card in another HTC 10 that came in for my wife and the same thing with that phone.
At the AT&T store the sales rep took her Sim card and put it in my HTC 10 and we had the same thing happen with her card.
Then we put the Sim back into her Samsung and it worked just find, no lost of the LTE when she made a call.
This is driving me nuts:mad:
So anybody out there please sound off, does the LTE symbol stay on when you make a phone call.
Not just the 4G symbol , but the 4GLTE symbol, and are you using a prepaid card or a regular card!

Yea I found that option and made sure its set on.
From what I read AT&T is a pain in the A** about using unlocked phones on their network.
I guest they want you to buy the phones from them.
And their lineup is mostly isheep phones or sammy touch me wiz crap.
HTC now we are talking about a real nice phone there!
By the way I had the same thing happen with the Moto X Pure. No LTE when on a call. drop down to HSPA+

I'm on AT&T, and all I did was take the SIM out of my M8 and pop it in my unlocked 10. It's been smooth sailing. Everything works, no hassles.

Yeah, I'm using my M9 sim card, and everything is working great. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't show LTE calling when you've checked it in the settings?

Might want to check to see if they have a feature added to your account called APN Override.

I went to my local at&t store and a guy brought up the features added to my line. I saw this feature on my line and asked what this feature was. The store rep had no idea what it was. He also said that he had never seen it before. I called support and was told it was added because I've used unlocked phones. They said it helps with "older unlocked phones." It was explained to me that It keeps the network from automatically configuring apn's on your phone which could cause issues on older unlocked devices. I had the same issue you had with your 10 where VoLTE would never work. I wondered if because this feature that was added to my line what it was actually keeping VoLTE from being enabled on my line because the phone wasn't being configured correctly. I returned the 10 before I found out about this feature being on my line.

So far, unless anyone else can pipe in, I've only seen this issue when people are going from unlocked to unlocked 10. Not at&t branded to unlocked 10.

Side note...I didn't know at&t supported VoLTE for prepaid accounts.

Went from unlocked A9 to unlocked 10 with no issues.

What did you have before the a9? At&t allows the unlocked a9 to use VoLTE. He mentions that he had the motox pure which isn't supported by at&t for use with VoLTE.

I don't know if they do support VoLTE on prepaid accounts.
Trying to get answers out of AT&T is like pulling teeth.
At least here now I know the HTC 10 can do VoLTE.
Just got to find out whats the problem.
Next week I'm going to switch my lines over to AT&T, I just got the prepaid card to test the coverage before I make the jump!
