HTC 10 did a hard crash

As I left the office last night, I started up Google maps on my 10, I always check traffic for the best way home. Maps started but as I tried to enter my destination nothing happened. The screen was still on but there was no response by touch or with the power button. In the past this would have been the time to pull the battery and restart the phone but you obviously can't do that with the 10. I tried holding the power button for at least 5 minutes and still no response. I figured I would have to just let the battery run out and then charge and restart the phone. About a half hour later I realized the screen was dark so I restarted the phone and it said that it had a hard restart and did I want to send a report (which I did). Has anyone experienced anything similar? What is the best way to deal with this kind of situation? I am at a loss to do anything other than I did. After restarting everything seems to be working okay.

meh... every once in a while something weird happens... so long as its performing fine after, i wouldnt worry about it
