The case unlocks/bypasses the phone security every time I flip open the case. The phone is set to lock immediately in the settings. Is there a setting I'm missing here?

I'm not even sure how but I had the same issue and it seems to lock 'most of the time' now.

I just toggled the settings back and forth and turned off my smart lock settings and then restarted the phone.

I still havent had mine bypass. Very weird that others are having this issue. Gotta be a setting somewhere messing with it.

Do you have Smart Lock On-Body detection or any others enabled? That might prevent it from locking.

OP, did you ever figure this out? Mine bypasses the lock screen most of the time too and it's annoying. No, it's not in a trusted place. Where's the smart lock on-body detection option?

Edit: Found the smart lock on-body detection and it is turned off, as well as everything else.

Has anyone tried any of the knock off Ice View cases? I had several Dot View cases on the M8 and M9 and they always broke. Really poor construction but they eventually became cheap enough that it didn't bother me. The Ice View looks great but $50 is steep for any case, especially if it's prone to break. Should I roll the dice on a $10 copy? Is there a difference?

I have the 10 dollar one... Only difference is the back is clear... The front is exactly the same

For anyone else interested, I bought this knock-off by Anoke for about $12 on Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HTH1HTE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't have a real one to compare it to but construction seems good. Only difference I can see is the clear back which I prefer anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually better than the official one. HTC should have included the case in the box with the phone (not a mail-in offer)- clearly the cases can be made cheaply - and it might have helped sales of the phone. It's unique, eye-catching, and gives the brand some personality. Missed opportunity.

Is the front slippery or is it a bit more abrasive. Reading reviews on amazon seems to indicate its kinda rubbery. Official one is very slippery when swiping the screen. Which I prefer if true.

It's definitely rubbery. No idea if it's a different material than the real one.

It sounds like it, the official is like a harder plastic feel. Not rubbery at all. Sliding your finger on the official one is more or less like glass.

Even if that's the case, I don't think I'd want to pay $40 more dollars for it. The Ice View functionality is good, but nothing amazing.

I ended up with 3 of them in the end. All were 20 off so not a big deal in the end for me. I like having screen covered while functionality is there also.

I got a knock off on ebay for $8. It seems to work well, I guess. I am glad I didn't pay $50 for it. Thats for sure. Sure, the clock is cool, but taking pictures is very dark and I doubt I would use it.

Does anyone know of optimal settings to ensure you are using this case to it's fullest?

There are a few vids up on Youtube which explain them.

For 50 dollars it has to be the cheapest case I've ever seen. Even though I got it for free via promotion, I'm still disappointed
