HTC 10 Reviews

There is not a nickle's worth of difference between Samsung and HTC's camera. It's just petty reviewer B.S.The same goes for the battery. If Samsung had a lesser camera, people would still flock to buy it. Why? Because they love Samsung for no particular reason. They're in love with the name.

Phonearena review is out. Gave it a 9. Pretty glowing review.

......aaaaannnddd on that note I have to admit I was wrong about how I thought phonearena was going to hammer the HTC 10 in its review. I did find it intriguing how the author felt it was refreshing to see a HTC went another direction with the 10. Instead of going all out in features, they focused on having a clean, seamless, and very cohesive user experience.

Android Headlines posted a very positive review, listing only 3 problems (2 "fixable"; 1 not):

Refresh rate and color shifting issues on the display
Single bottom facing speaker instead of front-facing stereo speakers
Camera is so close to getting it right, but still not quite there

Granted, it's only AH, but a plus is a plus is a plus.

So what does refresh rate and color shifting issues on the display mean? are we talking about blurring effects when transitioning from one home screen to the next or scrolling up and down? I have no idea what color shifting is on a display if someone can explain that would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that seems to be what the reviewer has in mind for refresh rate. The color shifting bit seems to boil down to the color values of the display not being consistent for various viewing angles, say, bluish straight on vs. yellowish or pinkish from different angles.

Frankly, I'd be more concerned about the brightness of the display than either of those.
