My phone took a short fall out of my pocket the other day. After a brief inspection i didnt notice any damage to it or problems while using it. A little while later i realized my fingerprint scanner wasnt working so i went to reboot it . Since then it has been stuck in a bootloop. It gets as far as the Htc logo with all the spinning circles, freezes, then restarts itself only to do the same thing. Occasionally it will get to the end of that animation only to constantly vibrate for a few seconds before it reboots again. I'm still able to get into download mode and recovery mode so i tried to factory reset and wipe it but have had no luck with that either. I also looked into flashing the stock ROM for it but dont believe i am able to since the bootloader and everything is still locked. Im willing to try almost anything at this point if anybody has any suggestions.

As the user above me stated, is the phone under warranty or do you have any insurance on it? How old is the device?

I am experiencing the same bootloop problem since today. The phone has the latest update installed. (not rooted, bootloader locked)
Initially, soft backlit keys weren't working, then i tried rebooting, after that it never booted, and I' stuck in boot loop.
I tried removing both sd card and sim card no luck. Even charging didnt help.
Its so disappointing ! I'm in India but I bought this phone from middle-east on December 2016 and I have to sent it back there for warranty claim which will not happen very soon. :(
Have anyone found a solution for this problem ??

I do have warranty on it but would rather not pay the $200 fee if i dont have to. With that said i am 100% willing to try anything that might void my warranty. If theres a possibility that there is damage internally Im also fairly confident in disassembling phones if anyone knows what i might try and look for.

Why do you have to pay $200 for no reason. They are suppose to fix the phone. My phone got stuck in bootloop for no reason.
Anyway have you found any solution for this ?

I'm glad you have a warranty on the device! Yes, are there any updates on your situation, OP?
