HTC and Sprint just made an iPhone/Verizon customer of me

I threw my EVO in the toilet and then tried to dry it in the microwave. Sprint won't fix it for free. Boo hoo... Now I HAVE to complain and get an inferior phone... I'm awesome!

(FYI - I would never drop my EVO in the toilet or dry it in the microwave. I'm smarter than that)

:D :D :D :D :D

The 35 fee can be waived by Corporate Store Manager, or equivalent 3rd Party/Indirect Personnel, so the people that post that they can still walk in without TEP and get something swapped, then thats awesome, that store is helping you out. But standard Service and Repair rules state that any customer that doesnt have ESRP or TEP have to go through the Manufacturer Warranty or pay the repair/replacement fee.

Having a heated conversation is fine, but bashing the op without even contributing to the thread is not going to be tolerated.

Keep that in mind guys.

Leave , honestly. I'm not trolling, you need to learn patience. The Iphone 4 is going to be without bugs and you won't ever have to send it in! So you'd rather spend much more money than wait 2 weeks? Nice logic bro! Wait, trust me a new iPhone is coming out soon anyways. You probably interpreted wrong, trust me sometimes Sprint support can be dumb, and a little frustrating.

I purchased an Evo4g from Sprint last year in August and just found out my front-facing camera doesn't work (first time I tried it). Since it is more than 90 days out, Sprint told me to call HTC and HTC said that I would have to ship the phone in and it could take up to 2 week to be repaired or replaced.

Nice, who can be without a phone for 2 weeks??? I don't even have a land line anymore.

Well, the short of it is as soon as my contract expires, me and my 4 family lines are going to Verizon and the iPhone.

Great job Sprint and HTC; you've turned an advocate into a detractor.

God, Customers can be such crybabies! "wah wah wah" ... So because you were going to be inconvenienced for a few weeks, you dropped a phone carrier and provider to jump on to an Iphone? LOL .. wow.

You could have sent it in, and used a loaner phone from the sprint store.
LOL.. An Angry person will go out of their way to go online and tell 20 people that the service sucks and a few simple steps could have resolved the issue.

I hope you enjoy the high prices @ verizon.. Actually, since you're so angry, you should just pay the cancellation fees and leave now :)

have a good day tears :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(:'(

heck, let him have at it. hope he enjoys the slowest internet speed of all the carriers. the lack of features. the strict controlling of his phone from verizon and apple. and the most expensive monthly pricing.

quite frankly. i thought the verizon iphone sucked.

To each his own when he realize he can't customize the cry-phone like the Evo he will be crying on tcpb (the cry-phone blog)

Policy or not, I just did it a week ago and I know of at least two other people that have returned Evos the same way in the past 6 weeks. Not a dime out of pocket. It's the store on LaSalle Street in the loop in Chicago.

But, for the sake of disclosure and sharing of information, would you please cut and paste the written change in policy so we can all have it for future reference?
