HTC Desire 610 frozen on youtube, will lock but won't reset

[AC Question]

I was watching a video on youtube and tried to close the video when my phone froze. Now I can lock it to turn off the screen but when I press to unlock it bypasses the lock screen and goes straight to the video, no matter how long it's been since it should require me to input my password to unlock it. I've tried turning it off and resetting it by using the buttons on the top and sides, but there has been no response. I've also removed the microSD and microSIM to no avail. I've had the phone for almost two and a half years, and it's had problems with freezing in the past. Any help would be highly appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to the forums. So it won't even reboot if you hold power and volume up for 8 seconds?
