AC Question

My mom's phone shut itself off earlier today, and a hard reset seems to have fixed it temporarilly. She has the HTC Desire 626 from Verizon. This evening it went into a bootloop, i assume. It loads the HTC logo, then shuts off, then restarts, then loops that indefinitely. i cant get it to boot into recovery mode. Just now, while following some other websites advice, i got it to try to load into recovery mode, but a big red triangle with an exclamation point popped up inside a phone icon, then it restarted itself again, then it started loading the verizon logo, which started the entire screen blinking erratically, and the shortly (about 5 to 10 seconds of rave quality flashing) it started the turn on, htc logo, black screen, off, cycle over again. I got it to start into recovery mode ONCE out of about 50 times, and i tried clearing the cache partition, which didnt work. i was about to try to factory wipe the phone, but i'm having trouble getting back into recovery.

Welcome to Android Central! My guess would be either corrupt firmware, a failing battery, or a motherboard fault. Any of those would probably require a trip to a repair shop.

Contact htc im sending mine back for repair the second time. Make sure to ask for paid shipping if not you pay. Also ask about the uh oh protection. Replaced the first 626 for me, this one is under warranty is also going back. All at htc cost
