as for release, we found a kernel issue.. we have one to fall back on, not sure if its still a go.

: by alpha build, is this going to buggier than a beta type rom or just considered alpha due to it being the first finished release?

Oh its a remix of the official release. But its an alpha because its fully working. Currently its experimental

Okay. Looks like I'm not going to be able to cheat using ROM Manager

Nope its cool though you can now use rom manager to format your sdcard use the biggest Linux. Swap

Their will be a clockwork option to installing I'm using that can wipe everything from clockwork. Oh yeah their. May be a release tonight again don't know

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I've had the droid for a couple months now. I really like it. So since then I've been searching around at all this rooting stuff, getting a feel for what needs to be done. I'm good with computers and all so I'd like to try this. It's exciting that the new htc sense ui is being worked on for our phones. I like it a lot. Way better than the stock software on the phones. Right now I'm just running a stock 2.1 updated droid. Is there going to be a complete walkthrough on how to get this ROM on the phone when it's finished? Like would I have to revert back to 2.0.1? Also, Id like to overclock my phone as well. Itd be awesome to have it overclocked to 1ghz(or as much as it can handle) and have this rom on it.

So what this is supposed to do is bring the HTC Desire Sense UI to the Droid, right? Does that mean the HTC widgets, etc? Even the sweet copy and paste on it?

When this is released, and is proven to be stable, etc, I will hopefully be putting it on my Droid!
