HTC Desire ROM

If your in recovery it will say that just flash the boot img after adb shell and reboot the do the twlan

I think the kernel installed ok. Man this thing is responsive!

Charging my phone again, going to try the twlan item later today. Will that allow me to toggle wifi on and off without rebooting? Because right now i'm runnign wifi no problem.

If your WiFi works no need for the twlan. But sadly no thats just a bug hopefully the next release fixes it

Oh, sweet then. Yeah, here's hoping to that release.

I got excited, because I got a call when I was on Data. Then I realized I was just on wifi, so (unfortunately) everything is working as advertised.

Will I get email over 1X?

Yes 1x is data you won't get anything but calls and messages when you disable data all you will see are the bars when you disable data

Ok.

Bizz, thanks for your help. Wouldn't have booted this without your help.

PJnc, thanks for the advice.

I appreciate the help from both.

So I just went back and re installed following ALL the procedure wiping before and after. I also flashed the low voltage kernel and now I'm not getting the FC when trying access super user permissions. The only thing I still don't have is all the HTC wallpapers only the first one (when I try to select any other which are blank is says not enough space) is that because my sdcard isn't patitioned with enough space for Desire?

Just out of curiosity, is creating a ril for a phone to use different phone's UI possible and have it work 100%. I hope it is but it just seems like if Jake is having trouble with it and there seems to be bugs as well as things need to be removed, I find myself questioning if its possible to get it fully functional. I'm sure a lot of HTC employees are monitoring alldroid hoping it doesn't fully work haha. If it does then I'm sure they are going to be like "you F'n son of a b!itch" haha.

It's hard but at this point I believe they need MOTO's portion of it. I would say yes its possible but that's just me being optimistic. I .hope it does work but at this point I'm waiting for the evo or the incredible to be rooted don't know yet

Ok well right now what he is doing is trying to take the Motorola ril and trying to add all of the sense parts. What he's requesting is Motorola vender ril.sh he's trying to build it from source so he can have all the headers and everything right

I am getting McClarry's error 25 I have tried to fix the folder issue but I keep getting error 25. What is the url for the download I am supposed to be using I am not sure what I am messing up.

Thanks

Right now I'm really debating on giving this a shot. The one thing that is holding me back is seeing everybody having trouble with it.

Look at the folder you downloaded that's in your nandroid folders all you should have is the folder for the alpha. Inside of that folder should have the data.tar system.tar boot.img and nandroid no multiple folders with that info in it.
And bit its easy just read the instructions and its about easy as pie :-)

Apparently I got lucky. I didn't run into any problems on the first try and my phone liked the default kernel so no boot loops.

Guess Im always lucky haven't run into issues yet. But then again I've haven't seen a kernel I couldn't run :-)

You are lucky. With both OC kernels mine started to bootloop like a mother. Tried three different installs, OC both kernels, etc.

Couldn't get wifi working either, ADB shell didn't like that code.

Anyways, it was gorgeous, but i'm back on Cyanogenmod now. I miss it, but I do like having 3G on all the time.
