HTC Desire ROM

Ok i moved the folder away from my sdk onto my desktop, and unplugged/plugged in my phone, and my computer made the connection noise. That's all I got.

Cool your comp recognized your phone try the shell again
Make sure the system is mounted

device not found again.

Is there a way for me to boot up this rom and run a partition from there? Or should I just restore an old backup and forget about it, as my computer is obviously not liking my phone.

Boot up your phone and run the script from terminal it will be a slow until you get the partition. Or restore back to your backup and partition with Rom manager. Just back up your data first
Easiest way is to mount your card while In recovery copy everything off then boot up sign into your Google account skip the rest go to the market and get Rom manager and partition with that with a 256 swap

yeah I got everything. Wait ROM manager will do the correct partition? If so, I feel like an idiot.

I am trying to run it through terminal, if not i'll try the restore.

Thanks for your help, bizz. I do appreciate it.

Yes Rom manager will but it wipes your card do a 256 swap and your good terminal will work also without wiping data just use the same script

No problem sorry I couldn't figure it out but I would have to be looking at your comp for the answer and if you skip the setup you can always go back into it at a later point theirs an app for it

Ok, trying that now. Throwing on Droidmod, will d/l ROM manager and use that partitioner.

If I use a larger swap, will it run faster? or not matter.

That's the optimal swap partition smaller it fills up to quick bigger who knows but Rom manager will not let you do bigger than that.

Ok, back into droidmod, formatted my SD Card to the max possible for all, and transferring my files back. I'll try the ROM reinstall soon, and I will let you know how it goes.

Transfer says 30 minutes tho, so don't hold your breath :)

Yeah I hate those class 2 cards Everytime I did that I only put the essentials back on nandroid pictures and a maybe music

Yeah I should have done that. I really should upgrade if I keep doing this...

Anyways, its almost 12 gotta get up at 6 tomorrow, and this transfer of 8 gb won't be done until 1 am. Night dude, thanks again for your help. I'll let you all know how it turns out in the AM.

Ok, tried it when everything cleared last night, and got a bootloop anywhere between "immediately" and the wifi/3G selection page. Would happen all the time, even if I re-restored the ROM in nandroid. Any ideas?

haha sweet....

I'll try to get it working today.

W00t! Got it working. Apparently I didn't enable the drivers on the phone correctly in Device Manager.

So, for this ROM, after I go into Nandroid and restore, then I go mount system, and type "adb wipe" or similar? I am sure I can find the command somewhere, just want to make sure of the process.

I didn't do a wipe using adb and don't notice anything wrong but I could be missing something. Should I go into recovery and wipe now after running a few hours?
