I played with X2 the last couple of days, and OMG i can't wait for this to be final. I would daily drive this one since I have wifi every where I am, but it won't let me end phone calls. it dials, calls, i can talk, but the phone screen crashes out not letting me hang up. I'm getting antsy waiting for a final release.

You have to turn off data before making a call if not on wifi the call goes through and you can talk via speaker phone but once the other end hangs up yours should I know calling cell phones will hang up

I just leave data off and only use wifi. still got funky phone problems. I'm gonna maybe reload it tonight again.

I've never had those phone issues on wifi. That's crazy yeah you may want to reload it

just re-downloaded, and re-installed. the phone is working fine now with data off, and camera works too, although it takes about 5 minutes to start working. This time I formated everything twice through adb just in case. first install must have been a fluke oh well.

Well glad you got her up and running just checked all Droid they have the ril compiled and are testing now hopefully we get some good news and a beta this week

I'm hoping they fixed the 3g phone call issue. If that is fixed ill deff give it a try.

On a side note, bizz I saw you mentioned about Droid swap a while back. I just have a few questions. What is it exactly? How does it work? And how would you enable it on the Droid? Sorry for so many questions but from what I have heard it needs to be used in order to have the sense rom at top speed. Thanks

I know you no longer use Droid swap. Causes more issues than its worth the Rom now has auto swap using the partition Droid swap can cause issues with trying to mount the sdcard ill look for the scripts for gscript its better

DroidFamily, the weather animations cant be fixed, at least not without some serious work.. Phone is being fixed now, might be able to test later today, just wait for the news, and simmer down. or we'll just make you wait longer

Well bad news about the weather, but good news about the phone - that's more important anyways.

Hopefully they just disable it. I'll use Beautiful Widgets or something for the weather instead.

Ok the weather app works and the clock with weather works also. The issue is full screen weather animations on the homescreen not all of them work. They were coded to be displayed by the processor and since we have a different one they don't render correctly. Not a big issue i turn off full screen animations. Though if you use the large weather widget you get the same animations.

ok, to give you guys some news(no the RIL issue isnt done just yet, shut up)
the usb mounting and unmounting works, adb is working, camera is working, youtube works, and im working on the market fix right now. the RIL is being compiled, and we're hoping to test it shortly.
i cant tell you we're going to release something today, tonight, or tomorrow, as i havent talked it over with everyone, but if everything is working tonight, i see no reason we shouldnt have something for you guys in the very very near future.

I am hopeing for a nandroid also. And to copy something simple hold your finger on text then it give you a shaded area to expand were you want and copy it or search very nice feature

max, we are hoping to release with a working RIL.. (re read the update, then proceed to facepalm)
btw, i have it running right now with just the partition from the autopartition thread, and no loads from rosie, market works, and i do believe we have bluetooth partially working. wifi is supposed to be working, still testing..
a new kernel, lots of stuff.. we are very close, but still so far..anyways, im on it fulltime till we have a release.

ok, i'll go ahead and update you guys real quick(except for droidfamily, hes too impatient)
first test ril was compiled and tested with no luck. we are searching the logcats now for information, we have some outside help thats pointing us in the right direction..
trying a few small fixes, myself for various minor issues... i'll keep you guys up to date with all the big breakthrus.
for now, we're like the 7 dwarfs at the mines.
