HTC Droid DNA - Anyone have the 4.4.2 Update yet?

I sit under a cell site at work too and my bars are full...

I really hate how they removed the stay awake while charging, now I have to hit the power button every time I want to skip a music track while driving, very annoying!!

It's not under dev options anymore?

On my phone I use the app Trigger to make the screen time out longer when it's connected to my car's bluetooth.

I used to be able to plug my phone in USB and be able to browse the files, copy pictures and etc using explorer.... i cant even get the HTC sync manager to communicate to my phone now. Any suggestions/programs out there that will let me browse the contents of my phone without having to root? I know there is technically no "USB mass storage mode" available on the DNA but i used to be able to browse. I cant even use my mac and droidnas anymore due to the mavericks update. I have both a PC and Mac and neither will browse. Suggestions?

has anyone been able to update the software on an unactivated phone through wi-fi? I switched to HTC One M8 on VZ, but I want to update the software on my
HTC Droid DNA.
thanks.

The wallpaper is no longer scrolling with Nova Launcher either, tried all the options in Nova to no avail... :(

I believe the house is the notification that you are connected to someones extender. Those Network extenders that verizon sells that hook up to the internet....

Yep, I think that you figured it out. I also have a Network Extender at home, and have the house icon in my notification bar.

Where the heck are the dev options, can't find it for the life of me, brain fart...

I literally sit under a 4g antenna at work. I just did a speed test using the speed test app, 21.38 down and 7.63 up.... so even though i only have 3 bars, it doesnt look like my speed took a hit. I have an iphone 5s as my work phone on verizon, and it always showed 3 bars where my DNA would show full... now they match, so maybe the DNA was inflating the signal?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the bars indicate signal strength for voice calls.

After the update my signal bars have gone from five down to three. Anyone else notice a decrease?

ciao

Yes, I see this as well. In areas where I consistently had the full 5 bars, I now get 3 and sometimes 2 bars. In other areas, I am getting 1 or 2 bars. I haven't had any dropped calls, or see any frequent drops to 3G, so I'm not sure if it's the bars being reported incorrectly or an issue with the radio in this firmware update. I'm sure Verizon will be hearing about it though.

If you want to do this with the official Verizon OTA, you'll have to have them activate your DNA, do the download, and then reactivate your M8. I did the exact same thing to get ICS on my Thunderbolt, which came out AFTER I upgraded to the DNA. Did it all over the phone with a Verizon rep.

I miss the option on wifi advance settings that let you toggle the wifi to use "best performance" or not. Turning that off was a huge battery saver.I am seeing a lot faster of a battery drain since update. Overall im happy with this update though. Besides wifi option and not being able to add google now widget to the default lock screen.

The Dev options has been hidden. To unlock you need to go to Settings>About>Software Information>More>Then tap on the Build Number 7 times. You will then have a Developer Options under the settings System section just above About.

My install of the large 618MB package is stopping after about 20%. Phone sits there for about 30 minutes, reboots, starts the install again, freezes at 20% and just keeps repeating.

i'm having the same problem as you...what is going on??

I was actually able to do this ALL online! I just had to put the SIM Card number (very long) into the Verizon web site; and it switched me back to the DNA instantly. I actually like this phone (came out end of 2012, but was all 2013 in terms of features) better than the HTC One M8

Everything in the notification bar is white even the eBay notice. Wonder why Google wants everything white? I preferred the different colors. Jmo

I can imagine. I can't stand those metal cases. No idea what the allure is to people.

And mine as well. The colors give different visual life to each icon. Makes each easier to discern.
