About yesterday my battery life has been losing power rapidly even when I'm not using my phone. I'm new with android so anyone have any idea why?

It could be a lot of things. The 4G antennae eats battery. Having the Camera app open eats battery. Having the GPS turned on eats battery. Having your e-mail updating every 30 seconds eats battery. Download something like Advanced Task Killer to make sure you keep all your apps in check.

Anyone having trouble with the touch screen?? Yesterday was really bad. 80% of the time I would unlock the screen and either when I click something like a message thread it clicks somewhere else or it just decides to "touch" one spot and won't stop so I can't press the back or home button. Sometimes locking and unlocking stops it but it'll happen again later. I did a factory reset and it helped but its still having trouble. I'm still within 30 days so I'll probably just switch it out

Re: EVO3D Issues and Problems...let's talk about them here!

the only problem is the phone is a month old... people need to relax there will be updates to fix problems, as far as i know there is no perfect phone in the world. If your phone has a legit hardware problem take it back and they will give you a new one. Otherwise be happy with having a great phone that can do a lot of different stuff. I think some of you kinda forget how far things have advanced and forget about the old rotary phone with no caller id or call waiting when some of us were kids. Take the time to enjoy stuff and stop trying to find every negative little thing you can about it

the installed version of swype sucks, can't delete it so the newest version can be installed.

That's three

My stock news app hasn't updated since last night. Is anyone else having this problem? I've tried everything: restart, power off, battery out, checked all the settings under "accounts and sync" in settings menu...ugh.

I have it set to update every 30 mins and it always has until now. I need my news stories! It's prob my most used widget so this has really been a bummer...

Plugged the 3D into my Yamaha receiver via headphone jack and the phone goes nuts, calls the last number, voice dials and starts playing Google Music, anyone else? Besides that no major issues.

Funny you say that. Today I plugged my 3D into the receiver to my surround sound system for the first time and everything was fine.

@hitman, I totally agree, definitely nothing else to complain about, just the hardware issue with the touch screen Haha. I loved everything else until that so I'll replace it and hope for the best with the next one :)

Mine does the same thing whenever I plug anything into the headphone jack: headphones, aux cable, etc.

Re: EVO3D Issues and Problems...let's talk about them here!

Said something about this before in its own thread...

Getting a LOT of static from my headphone when using an FM transmitter.

Doesn't do it on other speaker systems, nor do other devices put out comparable static. Tried it with the screen on and off, data on and off, airplane mode... Consistently bad static, all frequencies.

Thoughts?

My only problem with this device is i cannot,, no matter how hard i try, put it down for more then 5 minutes.

Internet has gone down a few times over the last couple weeks. Weird. I have to restart the phone. Wonder if it's the phone or my internet at home. When wi-fi is on, is the 3G ever used??

Task killers are utter crap. Not to mention the evo 3d already has a built in task killer, so why would you use a crappy 3rd party one not optimized for the device?

Re: EVO3D Issues and Problems...let's talk about them here!

Had that happen to me once. Had to restart the phone to fix it.

LOL happened to me today too, out of the blue. This phone has random glitches. I restarted the phone and it fixed it. I havent had too many but I think its just sense 3.0 having its bugs recognized by the users.

Re: EVO3D Issues and Problems...let's talk about them here!

Well, i have searched in here and haven't found much on this matter. But i was recently using my GPS navigation, was on about an hour ride in the evening. Had the screen on giving me the typical turn by turn directions as i would with my EVO 4G, and it was plugged into the car charger as i did not want to drain the battery using GPS, 4G, and 3G radios on. When i got to my destination and puled my phone off the dash it was insanely hot. Not just warm, HOT. I opened the battery widget and it stated the temp was 125F, now i dont know how correct these thing are and didn't have a laser thermometer at the time, but more then a few seconds in my hand and it was uncomfortable. I took out the battery and let the thing cool down in front of a fan for about an hour. Put everything back together and all seemed to be ok. Until a few hours had passed, and not doing much of anything the battery was very low, so i plugged it into the wall outlet... this is where everything started going funny, kept telling me i was plugged into a docking station and i was not. Not to many other things that night, but the next day was bad, i had full cell service, yet 3G was a bit sluggish, and i went to 4G to stream some 3D vids on you tube to show off the phone to some friends, and it was so slow that it would just time out, this was with full 4G service, i also noticed it would not readily connect to wifi networks i had previously saved and connected too even after forgetting and resetting it up and with a reset of the phone. It was not simply a glitch in that particular 4G area, i have now noticed this with every 4G i connect to in 2 different states that it barley gets any bandwidth. Other problems that manifested after that day were, it will no longer charge in the car, and it charges painfully slow through a computer usb port. Only through a wall outlet will it charge at an appreciable rate. Battery life is 50-75% of what it was pre-overheating, only lasts 2-4 hours with minimal use and all radios off. I have also noticed glitchy things happening to the touch screen, where ill try to press one button and another will select, or try to scroll and find a dead spot where it wont recognize where i am touching. there is also an issue with HTC sense will reload and reset for no apparent reason, and the camera will freeze the phone if i try to take 2 pictures in quick succession.
This phone is excellent, and i did not have a single issue that i am describing until it appeared to get too hot. So i got it on launch day and it was 1 and 1/2 weeks of awesome... then it been 1 and 1/2 of problems. Yes i have tried a factory reset (actually 2) thinking maybe i downloaded an app that was causing me grief. I will be returning to the sprint store to swap it for another handset, and hopefully this isn't a wide spread problem.

Take it back, tell them what happen, get a new phone,,, seems pretty cut and dry. I would have done this that day.
