So is anyone else having issues with the HTC News Widget? I have it set to only update when I tell it to. Sometimes it will update normally. Most of the time though it will attempt to update and won't do anything. It just keeps syncing and kills my battery. The only way to get it to stop is to remove and re-add the widget.
Also it will pop up the initial login screen for a brief second and it will go away. This popup happens every hour or so no matter what I am doing on the phone. I could be browsing the web and it will pop up like, "Hay, look at me. I'm screwed up again and need your attention".
I would love a fix for this. I'm coming from a BB Storm and I miss my Viigo app and this is a suitable replacement.
If there is no fix then what are the best alternatives to the HTC News Widget? Ideally I would like one with a similar setup (scrolling on the home screen).
I'm unrooted and using the Stock launcher.
