HTC One Battery Life/Stats Discussion

It should last all day with a 2300mah battery lets not fool ourselves

Only 200mah more than the s3 and the s3 doesn't last all day.

It's only about 4 hours screen time NEW and 2 and a half when a year old

Eh not too impressed with the battery life today. Used the camera a lot though. It's about the sane life I was getting with my Samsung Galaxy S2.

I'm getting similar results, though, only my first battery cycle.

I got 1 day 4hrs use first full charge, couldnt stay off the damn thing.i messed with everything. video, internet, camera, apps even the damn FM radio ......19% battery and watched a 1hr video and only went down to 10%. have a GS3 rooted with Cyanogen .....last about the same.

How many charges do you guys think the battery will be good for before it starts to hold less and less of a charge? This is my big fear because we can't swap it out =( In a years time do you think HTC will have a reliable way to change out batteries for this model?

This is my main fear before I decide part with ?480.

Ok I'm having some major battery issues here. I've been up for 45 minutes & went for full charge to 92%. I have the power saver on & screen brightness turned down.
Last night I installed go launcher. Then go clock, power master as well as calendar & contacts.
I even installed juice defender. In the time that it took me to type this it's gone down to 91%- HELP!!!

Wow, such battery drain on a device with a non removable battery. And it's NEW at that!

I got much better times from my gs3 when it was new.

No, my battery has been good until today. I'm going to uninstall all the Go Development stuff I dl last night.

AND I found I had the developer switch on. Dunno if that was the culprit, but I turned it off. Hopefully that was the issue.

I hope so.

It would be a crime for htc to do that to someone.

Hope all works out for you

Day One: With 6 hours of heavy use it was at 22% (right out of the box without being fully charged)

Day two: 12 hours heavy use (15%)

Day three: 13 hours with heavy use (15%)

Day four: 13 hours with heavy use (22%)

I'm sensing a strange pattern here.

My rundown of Heavy Use: GPS ON, Mobile Data On, WiFi On, Strava or workout app on for extended periods of time while streaming Google Music, Pandora, or Soundcloud. Messaging, Google Talk, Visiting multiple social networks in succession in quick burst (5-10 minutes each). 2-5 phone calls ranging from speaker phone or headset (5 minutes each). Google Search.

Got me worried. Just ordered one and these stats look horrendous. Got an S3 and 14 hours use and I'm left with about 50 percent.

You must honestly never use it. My s3 gets maybe 10 hours with good usage.

For reference I am at three hours use, 87 battery remain. Probably 45 min screen on.

I have been averaging 10 to 12 hours with mine and thats with average use and screen brightness on full.

I keep everything on and the battery lasts me until it needs to be recharged, then I recharge it, and do it all over again!

Hi, I have bought a used (for about 3 months, looks fairly new, so either it is kinda new or the guy carried it around in a pillow) HTC One X and the battery life is managable but what worries me is the charge time. I charge it from my wall outlet, it says AC charge, but it still takes about 6 hours to charge. seems a little too long ... anyone experienced this before?

So I shouldn?t be worried? Because I searched around on the net and it would seem that on average, people take about 2 to 3 hours to charge their One X from 0 to a 100% ... I put mine (about 2% battery at that time) into charger at around 21:30, it is now almost half past 12 and it?s at ~50%.

Seems to me this phone just like the X and the x+ take a ridiculously long time to charge. I love these phones but unlike the iPhone there is no such thing as a quick charge.

My stats are after the first full charge:
Off charger since 10 am
4 hours and 44 minutes screen time
wifi on all day
Lots of browsing
Heavy texting
No calls
Display Half way
and it is at 17 percent.

My advice: relax. 45 minutes is not enough to make any conclusions. If you had the screen on for most of that time, that is actually pretty good.
