After receiving the phone on Friday, I took it to a wedding on Saturday, with no hope of charging. I generally run any phone at hourly sync on all accounts, turned off wifi and used both Zoe and camera, with a spot of on screen editing. I also turned off the 4G radio. The phone came off charge at 5.45am at 100% and I got home at 01.00am the following morning with 41% left. Internet had been used in the day, but an interesting point I noted is that by switching from the standard launcher to Launcher8, which mimics the WinPho8 UI (yes, I like the way that works), I seem to be getting better battery life, even with widgets on display. Not sure why, but that 19 hour run for a 60% drop was pretty impressive.

I doubt switching things like launchers will play any role in battery life.

Is this bad? Batteryrebornbeta said my phone hit 99℉ after about 5 minutes of messenger use. I checked because I noticed it got pretty warm

So.. I've used this phone for about a week now. ive noticed on basic use (texting, social media, email, I rarely make phone calls) that i used about 3/4 of the battery. i find myself charging the phone to 100% every night and only having about 20% before i go to bed the next day. I also find that i lose about 10-20% battery while im asleep, with the once and a while text checks b/c i turn my ringer off.

does this seem pretty typical for this phone?

Also my GSam app is displaying outrageously large numbers so im assuming it broke. ha

Bit of an odd issue with my phone this morning. Noticed that mobile data wasn't appearing in the notification bar, went to the settings and it was switched on but saying data unavailable. Rebooted the phone, data comes back, but the battery has dropped from 40+% to 16% during this reboot.

Any one else had this sort of thing happen? The data drop/reboot has occured once before, but not the battery drop.

Hopefully just a one off! Cheers folks :)

I left my house at 7:30 without about 40 percent and was constantly checking sherdog forums, nba thread while watching the heat game at a bar and I still had 6 percent when I got home around 1. This phone lasts much longer than my s3 would.

well, note 2 spoils every concept of battery life within all cellphones (at least until note 3 I guess) I've been using it intensely for the past months and it is not as good as that, but still very good battery

well of course that will happen when you have a phone that large (which allows a physically bigger battery) thats only pushing power to a 720p screen vs a 1080p one

so is it normal? plug HTC One to charge while also using phone for, email, web browsing, games (Real Racing 3 or Iron Man, etc) and the battery show it is draining while charging and using phone at same time......how to fix this?
Battery life is always such a huge concern as it should be. Use this thread to share and post your battery life & stats. Screen shots, written experiences or whatever you got were willing to listen and learn from others possible tips and tricks.

Enjoy!

Are using the factory charger? Some after market chargers don't push enough juice to the phone to keep up.

So what's the trick people are using to get 4+ hours of screen on time?I'm lucky to get 2-3 hours with light use.

Here are my current stats... my brightness is always at 35%,3g,4g switches when available ( 4g coverage most of the time) auto-sync is only on for my contacts,no email sync.tell me if im missing anything.

Does it really affect battery life if I only have Google location services, and Google search location ticked and GPS unticked with auto brightness on? I'm trying to keep the temperature down as well so what would affect the temperature the most when not actively using it?

Yes, it affects the battery greatly. Just follow those tips and you should have better battery life. Go threw every app that requires locations and disable locations as well. Same goes for Syncing....

So if I only turn on location and data as needed I would get 4+ hours of screen on time, and also what about using auto brightness and leaving WiFi on all the time only in known areas then shut off?I have the seidio commuter case on my phone,is that why it is heating up so quickly?
