High Android System usage doesn't necessarily mean it drain more battery. The total usage has to be 100%. If you don't really use your phone, your Android System will be relatively high, around 60-80%. If you use other apps such as Facebook, YouTube, Google Chrome, your Android System usage will drop. You can try to watch video on YouTube for 20 mins and you will see there is a drop on the Android Sysyem.

How did you manage to get 32 hours with that screen-on time? what are your settings, enabled features etc... and are you rooted?I never thought it was possible especially using 4g,and also could you tell us what carrier your using?
Everything really just comes down to screen time. If I turn on my phone and use it non stop for 4 hours my battery will be pretty much dead. If I have the screen off for 5 hours at a time I can get over 24 hours. The processors go into deep sleep and use almost no battery. Throw in a 8 hour sleep and your there.

If the stats showed 32 hours with 5+ screen on time I would be impressed.

Does anyone know if having the "power save" mode on will slow your data speeds or prevent you from being connected to LTE since the data is put to sleep?

My wife has the HTC One. I set it up and she has never mentioned that this is an issue. I think you're good.

I don't consider that great battery life, but the stock kernel does have issues with correctly reporting how much % the apps are using. It shouldn't be higher that the screen %. Try activating Power saver mode, disable Google Now and GPS.

Its been two months and thank God I bought my phone from Costco. I returned it yesterday for an S4. The battery was giving me 3 hours max, light use. It got up to 108 degrees at times of heavy use (Simpsons Tapped Out). One more thing HTC One users, my battery swelled and made my the lower portion of my screen bow forward. Not cool. I took it to Sprint... They were like, "Did you leave it in the sun? We can't repair this if you don't have Sprint insurance, call HTC" I called HTC, "We have never seen or heard about this."
