Here are some random shots from my HTC One. Overall I'm happy with the camera, especially coming from a Nexus S. The only time I miss the higher megapixel count is when I want to zoom in but then if I'm going somewhere I know I'll take photos I always have a real camera along. The One is pretty capable. The speed is also great and I like that I can keep it in "sightseeing mode" and wake it directly into the camera with just the power button. Good for unexpected moments. Burst mode and "best-shot" are nice for this too. Panorama stitching is very good and quick. HDR is ok, doesn't seem that much better than regular. I recently dropped the sharpness to -1 and it seems to reduce some of the processing artifacts.

... and wow I have never been more excited about a camera. I'm getting my own HTC One very soon, when the 64GB model arrives here in Dubai. I've gotten to play around with the One and the S4 thanks to my occupation, and the camera is beeeaaauuutiful! Seeing these pictures just got me DOUBLE pumped

Here are some samples of it: It just blows things out of proportion: gives the colours a small saturation boost, makes shadows darker, highlights lighter, and loses a bit of detail; making them look more "dramatic" and "arty". I generally don't like it (although I quite like the flower one). As you can see it ruined the picture of the olives.

WOW auto-enhance looks AWESOME!!!

Point and click all auto. I find that focusing on different areas of the pictures produces very different outcomes. I just snap a few and see what turns out the best.

OK, this may look a little soft and noisy - but realize this was hand held, 1/17 second exposure at 1982 ISO. That means there was not much light at all. That is what this phone can do that others can't. This is why I choose this phone camera over the S4. Also, I think the noise is not objectionable, similiar to film grain.

If I am going to take pictures of buildings and trees, I can carry a DSLR or my Sony. For spontaneous moments like this, I don't have time for that, although the results would be better. This is very much acceptable to me.
