I had this problem also did what you said SIMPLE!!!!!! & IT WORKED THANKS I scrolled up didn't the guys answer to problem so I'll repost it. He said go to settings, apps, camera, clear cache. Go back to settings power, uncheck fast boot, turn off phn then turn it back on WORKS!!!!!!!!!

So glad I found this forum and miken1972 in particular. As you can see by the date, this issue is ongoing. First time for me though. I have an HTC One, and a week ago, the camera funked out on me. The solution given here worked, so thanks muchly. I thought I'd just have to point, shoot, and hope for the best for the duration of this phone's life, so I'm very happy to have this function back.

I have the same problem i thought it was just my phone but yea i open the camra app and it shows what the cam was looking at at the time the app was opened and it does the same on the front however when i go to film a vid it works fine the live image moves like its supposed to its very strange ive never seen such a glitch maybe ill try that method of shutting the phone off for the entire night

Ahh. I see why. It's because the system is trying to "help" you. When you do a restart, all cashed- and temp-files are kept, so you can continue where you was when you turned it off. But, when you restart it, it closes all applications completely and clean cashe and temp-files (you get a warning that this will happen).

it works right after the reset but the moment the screen locks, it stops working after I unlock.


wat else can I do
