HTC One / Car StereoClip (AUX) - Can pair both devices via bluetooth but no sound?

Hi,

I have just purchased a HTC Car Stereo Clip(AUX) to use in my car as my car has no bluetooth but it does have an AUX socket. I can pair the phone with the clip but when I play music the music cannot be heard. I have proved that the clip works and also my phone via bluetooth. Its as if there is a compatibility issue between the phone and the clip or I might be missing a configuration setting in the phone even though I believe i have tried everything.

Any help would be appreciated...

I just got one myself, surprisingly they are rather hard to come by (in local stores) ..Since I dont know what kind of stereo you have, if its like mine I have to select AUX on the stereo touchscreen as it wont automatically swap to it once something is plugged in. I know newer ones do but its a place to start. Also make sure its connected when you play your music. Just because its paired doesnt mean its connected. I know that may sound stupid to mention but its happened to me before. Basically just check all the easy fixes first, if that fails, see if you can get it swapped out where ever you got it from!

There really is no configuration settings in the phone itself as I am looking at it right now, well mine anyway

Hi, I felt that this bluetooth clip was the answer to all my prayers to get rid of the cables i have to trail through my car but no avail as I have tried all the settings and your suggestions and still a no go. If i plug in the 3.5mm jack cable from the phone to the car AUX socket it works so i know its not the stereo in the car. I have also tried pairing the devices before I play music but that results in no audio/sound. This is my second AUX clip as I sent the first one back and its has the same issue of no sound :-( Its interesting that you have yours working as i thought it was a compatibility issue. Just for my benefit have you an HTC one... if you have and it works then its definitely not a compatibility issue. Still mystified as to what it could be...

Yeah I have the One... I'm alittle lost as to what could be the issue with yours
