Is it possible to delete stock android apps? I use Google hangouts for texting now, and I want to delete the stock messaging app. For now I'm just hiding it, also unchecked marked all it's settings. For some reason when I un-hide it, my messages from hangouts will be in the stock messages app... My phone is not rooted btw

Re: Deleting stock apps

You can delete apps if you are rooted. Without root, the most you can do is disable certain apps. This can be done under applications in the settings menu

If it's grayed out then you can't disable it. You don't have to use it though.
