Its worth it just to not have ATT logos plastered all over it. Easy rooting and unlocked bootloader are just an added bonus since Im sure the att version will get cracked.

i think that lady from htc is full of it. it's not a true dev device if it doesn't come with s-off.
Could you buy the unlocked version and then use it on the Verizon network, or do you need to have specific radios for verizon
The radios will work fine but there is no way in hell Verizon will activate a phone they didn't sell you. AT&T is the only network who will.

Any GSM carrier will activate a unlocked phone that isn't theirs.
Only CDMA does that
wouldn't this mean that the carrier versions should be cheaper? surely no one would buy a 32gb locked version from AT&T if a 64gb unlocked from HTC could be had for the same price.
