Personally I dislike on screen buttons. Happy to see capacitive back. I don't understand why people dislike capacitive so much.
Yes it does and that's one of many things wrong with the oneplus one and two.Doesn't the One Plus One phone have both? I don't see a problem with this. Truth be told I still have my M7 kicking around and although it is 4.7" as opposed to my M9's 5" screen. They have the exact same screen real estate because of the on screen buttons. If anything the M9 screen may be a bit wider, but watching YouTube videos in landscape mode it looks like same. I have no problem with the both options being present especially since unlike the M7 their is now an actually home button in the middle instead of just an HTC logo.

Oh, no. It's a minor amount of code added that has existed in hundreds of devices for years, including HTC devices. Drain on performance will be 0 or so close to 0 as to make all odds. It's a very minor issue when we get down to it that shows a failure of design philosophy, but it will have a real negative impact on very few, if any, users. This is the sort of thing that almost no one who doesn't spend too much time in the forums will ever be bothered to care about. It legitimately does annoy the heck out of me, I'm not trolling, but I realize in the grand scheme it doesn't matter much at all.Could you elaborate? Is it just going to make the skin unnecessary heavy to program the software for both options?
The HTC 10 leaks actually look more like a refinement of a common design that started with the M7 than any kind of iPhone copycat. It's the A9 that looks very similar to the iPhone.Funny how everyone bashes down on apple and iPhones design but when Android phones take after the design everyone praises it and goes "woooow, finally a nice design", "finally I can go back to *choose your iPhone copycat*" and so on.
And no, I'm not a apple fan or iPhone user.
That and this is an HTC thread... Apple's design came straight off of looking at an HTC M7.The HTC 10 leaks actually look more like a refinement of a common design that started with the M7 than any kind of iPhone copycat. It's the A9 that looks very similar to the iPhone.
Agreed! Don't like headphone socket at the top...Hopefully sense software will be designed so that the screen can be automatically flipped so that you could have headset socket at the bottom when you are reading or playing games on the phone...I don't like the headphone jack on top. That's the only think I dislike about the design, and maybe the home button being too close to the bottom edge of the phone.
