Samsung says you can still make calls, receive texts, and get on the Internet (EDGE? didn't specify). They claim 6 hours on 1%. I'm assuming that's pure standby time, but again it wasn't specified to me.

I watched that video. I don't understand a lick of what's being said, but I do like the brushed finish on the exterior.

Agreed, this One looks even better than the other One. Dark gray for me.

I'm not sure how anyone thinks a 4.1 MP picture can be comparable to a 12-16 MP picture (assuming decent Optics/ISP/Software. Did they learn anything from the One.

A megapixel is not a defined size. Don't be fooled by 4.1 or 16 megapixels. The megapixels as defined in the One are larger than those defined in other cameras, say the S5. So a 4 megapixel Ultrapixel camera can be compared to a much larger megapixel camera because of the difference in physical megapixel size.

What Kevin said. All UltraPixels do is allow for better low light photography.

The low resolution kills detail so unless they are defying the laws of physics it's impossible to take as detailed an image as competing devices with that resolution.

It may not even be a factor. I'm just wondering why it was stated in the manner it was, cause that makes no sense.

I expect it to be better than some. Not all high MP camera phones are good, but almost all flagship devices these days deliver the goods.

A megapixel is 1 million pixels. Mega is a multiplier in the same way that you have grams and megagrams. It's not a case of one is better than the other. Ultrapixel is just clever advertising. Megapixels aren't everything as we know but you would need a hell of a sensor and optics to make a 4mp similar to a 16mp

No it doesn't. 4mp is 4mp regardless of the physical size of the sensor. Same with 8, 13, 16, etc. Doubling the physical size of a 4mp sensor won't result in increased resolution at all, because it's still just 4mp.

No it doesn't. A 4mp 'ultrapixel' HTC One will have pictures that have the same resolution as any other 4mp camera. The number of dots in the image will stay the same.

The ultra pixel allows more light to enter the picture for better low light imagery.

So the rumors of it having a 13MP aren't true it is going to have a 4 Ultra Pixel. I don't care I'm still getting it and can't wait. And will the front be 5MP?
