HTC One M8 Proximity Sensor not working

I recently replaced the battery in my HTC One M8 and now the proximity sensor (the thing that turns the screen off when you hold the phone to your face) is not working. Any suggestions for how to fix it? Could it be one of the wires I had to disconnect during the battery replacement? Maybe I didn't get it fully reconnected?
