HTC One (M8): Quick Charge 2.0

Note 4 rapid charging technology is not Quick Charge 2.0. It's Samsung's own thing I believe. So it would not work on other brands of devices.

I got the charger. Posting a report now in this forum.

Alright, I just assumed it was based on the packaging stating (Adaptive Fast Charging Quick Charge 2.0). They should've used the same wording because that's confusing.

Ah well maybe I'm wrong. But QC2.0 works on the M8. Maybe you didn't notice a difference, but it was there. See my report in this forum.

If anyone is interested, HTC is doing their Hot Deals and has the home charger for 50% off, which makes it $17 with free shipping. HTC Accessories | HTC United States | HTC United States

That's awesome, but any idea how to add things to your cart? The wall charger page just shows bare bones info with no purchase option. It doesn't even list specs when you tap that button. The dual port car charger (what I'm really interested in) goes to a "page not found" page. I'm using Chrome on my M8 and tried both mobile and desktop mode in its settings

I'm getting that too. They haven't launch those products yet, it's very disappointing, the Quick-charge 2.0 tech was launched by Qualcomm in the 4th of June and we don't have official quick-charge 2.0 chargers available!
Shame on you HTC!

On the main page that I linked there's an "add to cart" option.

Wow they're gone already! Guess I should have bought one when I had the chance!

I ordered the Incipio quick charge 2.0 car charger for 27 bucks using the discount code FALL14 on their site. But I also want a wall charger, was waiting for the HTC official, European version. But it looks I will have to wait till next year or something

I just received my Incipio Car Charger but it dosent come with a usb cable. Worst of all my OEM HTC cable is damaged since I get the "Slow Charging" warning and only 0,5 amps of current with it connected. I cant really buy from Monoprice since I live in Europe and their shipping costs are very high, does anyone knows which Micro Usb Cable should I buy? I ask this because they are not all the same and quick-charge tech takes up to 3 amps from the charger...
Thank you guys

I have a dumb question? For starters someone at work stole my original charger that came with my M8. I had it plugged in at the break table at work and left it and it was gone when I came to work. I have an old M7 one I use at home but for now at work I just use this battery pack my husband bought me it does 2.0. But if I was to buy this HTC quick charge next time their is 50% off which I know they've done a few times but my question is do you have to use an HTC cord or a fast charger cord. I know the wall plus is 2.0 but does it also depend on the speed of the cord are they different speeds too. Cause in my husbands car we get messages sometimes about slow charging. But I need a fast charging Ac/Plug with a new cord but what came with my phone charged my phone fast I thought. It says out of stock also is it not available yet?

From what I've been reading, it sounds like QC2.0 will work with standard USB cables.

As for the slow charge issue of your car charger, it could be the charger isn't strong enough. It should be rated 1.5A to meet the design of the OEM charger, but there are still lots of chargers being sold, including car factory installed USB ports, that are rated less and would result in slow charge times.

My car I have a 2.0 or 2.1 amp it says but I bought some cheap cord and I wasn't sure if the cord had anything to do with it. But am really wanting to buy this rapid 2.0 charger but they don't have it in stock. I was hoping another 50% off deal would come again soon. I have other USB cords and chargers we use like by our bed and we keep our phones charged over night. But for work or if I am home and going out and need a charge I like the original HTC charger with the HTC cord. I can't believe someone stole the one I got with my M8 it charged pretty quick too.

Cheap usb cables most of the times only work at 0,5amp. You should get a better one, that's not too long. Monoprice has good and cheap cables. Check them out

Works perfectly with standard (high quality) USB cables.

Re: M8 Quick Charge 2.0

Not true , it is actually better for you to charge batteries faster. BUT any aftermarket charger you buy, that isn't issued from the company who makes the product or phone you have can ruin your phone over time when you go to a store and buy any old random charger , it may be compatible with your phone but if it's not bought directly from the manufacturer it will have a negative effect on your battery life and your phone will start to loose juice much quicker. But one reason HTC is using quick charge 2.0 is because it will extend battery life and charge your phone quicker.
