HTC One (M8): Texting Issues

Hi All,

I too have being having these same issues. Messages are sat in pending mode and won't go until I have restarted the phone.
I called EE - who can't see any issues with my service and they guy didn't know of any previous complaints of a similar nature.
But I have seen online that this is apparently common with a HTC One M8 on EE and HTC are "working on a fix" (Don't believe that for a second).

I had a webchat with somebody from HTC who advised me to type *#*#4636#*#* - Select Phone Information - scroll to where it says SMSC and there are two buttons to the right that say refresh and update. Click refresh then click update.

It seems to have had some kind of effect but still find I have the issue, definitely not as often though.

I have seen the post regarding text message limits - funnily enough - this issue started around the same time that I put a limit on my text messages for each thread. I have now removed it and will keep an eye on it. It was probably just coincidence though. :(

Sadly enough, I'm seriously considering selling the device and getting another to see me through the duration of my (very long) contract - just so I can rely on my txts sending. I love this phone but this issue is enough to drive anyone away!! Thumbs down HTC & EE.

This problem started slowly (1 in 10 failed) and then got worse to the point where 3/4s of my texts were failing. It seems that I had a corrupt conversation in my list. I tried deleting all my messages but it would delete past a certain message. I could delete "around" that one though. I went in to apps and cleared the data and cache and i was then able to delete the message. Outgoing messages seem to be reliable again.

Here's my issue: I will text one person and when they text me back, it shows up as multiple people on the text message. It doesn't do this with everyone, but I have this issue with about half of the people I've been texting.

I have the exact same issue, has anyone found a solution?

I'm having the same issue. I have just noticed the last couple of days. Before that it was working just fine.

I am also having this issue, but I have found a fix, kind of. Using 3G instead of 4G has worked for me.
To do this you go into mobile data settings and switch the network mode to 3G only.
