HTC one m8 Vodafone uk

Hi I have a Vodafone branded HTC one m8 and I've just recently payed for a unlock code of eBay so I can use it on the three network. Question is can I flash a generic software onto it so it's bacicly a factory unlocked software? If so dose it mess with the phones modem , imi ect. I'm on vodafones lollipop if this helps. Thanks

SIM-locking has nothing to do with the ROM. Install any ROM made for that model M8 (careful - there are different model numbers), and unlock - one has nothing to do with the other.

Yea I'm aware that simlock is different I was just wondering now I have the phone SIM unlocked if I could flash a official stock software that has no branding what's so ever
