so they entirely dumped the mid to low end phones or will they just carry a different name than HTC One? I doubt that HTC will follow the iPhone strategy i.e. only show off a single phone 2013.

M7 announced as the HTC One. Rumors point to at least two more devices with codenames M4 and G2.

Have to agree with you there Ry...

Should do well for HTC. Now if they can get the marketing behind this phone and meet demands without horrible delays (dare I say) they might have true flagship phone leading the way for HTC.

Phone is beautiful. So glad they recessed the camera. I hate having to be so careful of scratching the bump. The only think that will move me from the X+ is wireless charging.

Nice specs...but I'm concerned about the 2 button setup. Hero had 5 (4 + pressable ball....excluding the on/off buttons near the bottom), the evo 4g and evo 3d had 4, the Evo LTE has 3....the HTC One now has 2....I'm afraid that they will release the 1-button HTC iPhone next year

From using a One X, I wonder if the increase in dimensions and weight will be noticeable. I don't think the weight would bother me, but I do wish they put the lock/wake button in a more convenient spot.

Also, I'm really interested in hearing those front facing speakers.

I don't really care about the swappable battery much

I have a Galaxy Nexus which is notorious for poor battery life. I switch my battery quite frequently, usually carry 2 spare high capacity ones. It especially uses batteries up fast when you need it the most such as on vacation when using Navigation, restaurant reviews, sights, Tripit. Seems to chew up battery in crowded areas (? competing for signal) like basketball games I watch statistics on NBA Gametime, and Disneyland following ride wait times. My son's with iPhone 5's will typically be out with no phone by the late afternoon/early evening on these occasions and with nowhere to charge, but I'm able to keep going with my spare batteries. I won't buy a phone without a swap-able battery.

That's a nice chart, but it doesn't show the One competiting against devices in its class - quad core Cortex A15 variants. That article is garbage.
