HTC One randomly turns on

I've noticed this the past two nights, the screen will randomly turn on when charging, I haven't noticed this when it's not charging, does anyone have an idea why?

Try to find a power management app that'll show you duration of time currently charging. Check it after the screen comes on. This could be a faulty USB port contact making the phone stop charging for a brief moment, thus powering it back on when it regains charging status.

Thanks allot I'll try that, but I just went to pick it up, and the screen was on, and it wasn't charging, do I have a haunted htc one lol?

We can safely rule that out then. Do you have one of the apps that allows the screen to turn on when you get a notification? For that matter, how about any app that would cause your screen to turn on? If so I'd try uninstalling them and seeing if this issue persists.

I could be the simpsons app, I'll uninstall it, and then I'll report back!

So far, so good I've turned off all apps, that have alerts, and I know for sure it wasn't a text, I believe it was emails in the night that woke me up.

stock Verizon HTC one. Same issue here. whether charging or not I sleep the screen and 30 seconds later its back on. turn on/off a lot.
