The authorities in the UAE have decided to block Viber in the whole country, and that is why you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help :(

You may try contacting the authorities and ask for the reason for this block.

Hi,
This is a Viber feature, that can be disabled by going to Viber --> More tab --> Settings --> disable "Free reply with Viber".

Thanks for replying but no it didn't. If you read my message I said I had unchecked the Free Reply with Viber. It hasn't helped. Any more thoughts.? Thanks

When i restore factory without deactivating my viber account, i couldn't use it again viber account with same phone number in my new phone. I didn't get viber code & neither phone call. Please help me.

Please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options).

In addition, you may try to register to Viber with a different number (for example - your home landline number, a friend's number, etc.), in order to determine whether the problem is specific with your number, or a general one.

* If it still fails, please specify what country you're located in, and which cellular network you are subscribed to.

my country is Nepal and my phone is of Nepal Telecom cellular network and version of phone is android 4.2.1
when i install viber i don't receive text message but i receive phone call with viber code but my phone didn't accept that code, not only in my phone number but in other number also :( . What can i do??

Viber is being continuously crashed during calls( force stop and had to restart Viber every time :(( )

and I don't get ring , when someone calls .. I just get only notifications ,
Same problem happened in ics and jb ...
Any solution ?

I have htc desire c and this is happening to my device too. it worked perfectly before until this new update of the interface.
android version: 4.0.3
viber version: 3.0.2.

calls crash. no ring-in only notification.
very poor call quality
slow load time
'call in progress: 00.00..' notification can not be cleared from notification bar at top of phone.
any ideas?
such a shame too. my friends are going over to 'Line.' call quality excellent - free app.
please fix viber its the best! (when its working!)

We recommend that you wait another 24 hours, try both options with another phone number, and see if it works.

i reinstalled viber on my phone ( htc wildfire) but now though i got codes it says invalid over and over again...tried waitign for 12 hrs nothing seems to work...HELP. i am in philipinnes...i also tried to use the no for germany tht doesnt work as well...it just keeps on saying invalid code. I have used 2 codes that i gt before both doesn't work and now i have stopped receiving codes as well

If it still fails, then it could be that Viber is blocked on your ISP/cellular company in Iran.If this is the case, then unfortunately there is not much we can do to help :(

I have the same problem with some members here. I'm using HTC Sensation & Viber used to work perfectly fine on my phone before. After I updated the new version of Viber, it keeps asking me to put my phone number & the code again almost every time i open the app (there are a few times it inconsistently remained running & i'm not sure how or why). The same thing happens to my friends' Android phones as well. We love Viber but it starts to get annoying now, especially when we lose all messages after we log in again. :( Any suggestion please?

First, please make sure that your Viber number is not used to register Viber on more than 1 device (because this may be a reason for the problem).

Now, please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options).

Hi,

If Viber shows as 'unavailable', you can try and download it from our HelpDesk, at: Can't download from Android market...

However, please note that Viber is not officially compatible with Galaxy Pocket, and so it may not function well on it.

Sent myself the activation code but i recieved an invalid code. I recieved the call but even that code didn't work. I reinstalled viber but still received that same code that viber claims it to be an invalid code. Now i don't recieve any text or call by viber. Is there any way or time that viber renews it's activation code? I need to use viber urgently as i recieve important calls through it. It'll be great if you help. Thank you.

I have a similar issue in that when I call my wife from my Gallaxy Note (GT - N7000) to her iPhone 4 or visa versa the one calling sees the status as ringing all the time and the sound confirms BUT the other one has answered the call ( by sliding the ringing phone icon to the right over to the green phone) but just hears silence and the one calling just keeps hearing the ringing sound and seeing the same status (different Wi-Fi providers and locations). Can you help or suggest what we do?
the phone is not rooted but standard factory issue with 4.1.2 software and Viber is 3.0.2

What device do you have? Are you running a Custom ROM?

It could be that the network you are connected to is blocking Viber's traffic.

1. First, please try uninstalling and reinstalling Viber when connecting to a few different WiFi networks (in order to pinpoint the source of the problem). What are the results?
2. Also, please make sure the following ports are enabled ("forwarded") on your routers or firewalls:
TCP: 5242 + 4244
UDP: 5243 + 9785

(if you are not sure how to enable ports, you may contact your router manufacturer or your Internet Service Provider)

* If it still fails, please specify what country you're located in, and which cellular network you're subscribed to.
