HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Your back and home buttons not responsive? Do you have a screen protector on? That's probably your problem.

I had a screen protector on my one x and it worked great. Screen protector is not the isssue. There is something wrong with those buttons.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

This isn't really a bug, but I'm not sure where else to put this.

Anybody else notice that you can't see anything on the screen with polarized sunglasses when you turn it to landscape? I figure this is a product of Gorilla Glass, but it's a pain sometimes.

That's a brain tumor of the Optic Chiasm-SEE A DOCTOR.

Seriously...

It's your polarized glasses and the GG2 . Get some non polarized lenses or take off your sunglasses while watching outside in Landscape.

Man...this phone is fast and well built but you don't see these massive amount of issues with the N4....Pure android with out all the HTC layered on top. Hope HTC works these out.

Just sayin.....

The N4 also doesn't come with 1/10th the number of bells and whistles that you get with the One. Either you want a plain vanilla ice cream cone or a sundae with hot fudge, sprinkles, nuts, whipped cream and a cherry. Sure, there's a chance the texture and consistency will be off-putting for some, and the price may be higher, but the taste... Oh, man, the taste. Vanilla just doesn't cut it anymore.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Well...Having both; I prefer the Vanilla cone if has no bugs and immediate software upgrades. If the cherries and whip cream are SoundHound, Tunein and such....I don't see the 300 dollar premium for the One.

The N4 is built as well; has a lower resolution screen but no bugs. If you want the software bells and whistles you get the S4; if you want pure and unadultered up tro date Android you get the N4. If you want what all the reviewers are hot on-you get the One.

Google will be here next year; will HTC(I hope as I have their 650 dollar phone)? If not...you get JB 4.1.2 forever; no 4.2.2 or Key Lime Pie. HTC IS IN FINANCIAL TROUBLE and with the Nokia injunction on the HTC One..their Hail Mary got intercepted.

Both have merits of their own and I am just saying for 350 bucks(not 579 or 650) nothing touches the 16GB N4 bang per buck.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

BTW...let us not forget that Google IS ANDROID. Our 650 dollar phones are hardware and if we don't get up to date OTA's..Well imagine Gingerbread on your One; or ICS.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Lip Sync issue when playing Videos (Google Play Movies)? I had to download MX Player.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Blinkfeed and weather don't automatically refresh, I'm sure this has been mentioned many times.

There are settings you have to adjust. They are default off to save data. Settings--> Accounts and sync, toggle auto sync ON. .... THEN... blink feed menu---> settings auto-refresh-- set to use mobile data or wifi, or just wifi. Whatever your preference.

Then, click on the weather widget, click settings, make sure "my current location" box is checked, and scheduled sync is checked. Set your update schedule how you like it. In my area, weather changes by the minute, so I have it on a shorter update cycle.

Each and every app has a toggle for auto-sync and updates, so if you don't want one of those to sync, go into the app's settings and change it.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I'm also having issues with an unresponsive back button. So annoying!

I was trying to figure out how to turn auto-sync on in blink feed settings, thanks for the help.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

  • I'm having sensitivity issues with my home and back buttons
  • I do not like that pressing the 'back' button doesn't exit the application drawer.
  • My Wifi range doesn't seem to be as good as my EVO 4G LTE
  • I LOVE MY ONE!

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Screen protectors are not the issue i have three of this fone and it works properly.. You would think htc will have tested the phone with the the most basic protection methods we all use which is a screen protector.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I am starting to have issues with my proximity sensor. My face constantly presses buttons while on calls. Luckily I barely talk on the phone!

ME TOO!!! I thought it was just a fluke...but so far it's muted itself while on a call, turned on speakerphone and blasted my **** eardrum, hung up, and I've only made a FEW calls on the thing. I thought I was doing something wrong, but I really don't think so now.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

When I unlock my phone or back out of most apps to my home screen my task bar turns grey (same grey as weather widget) for 1 second then turns transparent. It's too fast to get a screen shot.

Anyone else seeing this?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I hope I don't have any of these problems I'm waiting on my otterbox case.
