HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I am not really sure if it's a bug or device problem, but my home soft key stops working sometimes and just goes dead. It doesn't respond to my tap. I was not there at the beginning but started after putting a screen guard but later I removed it today and it is doing a little better. Even otherwise I am still facing the problem. Should I replace my handset or is there a solution to this problem. Someone Please help me...

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

When I unlock my phone or back out of most apps to my home screen my task bar turns grey (same grey as weather widget) for 1 second then turns transparent. It's too fast to get a screen shot.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yeh i think ive got this

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Did you have the FM radio on?
It happened to me when I was listening to the radio and taking pics, it seems that theres some sort of interference.

I'm having two different strange happenings with my HTC One. The first occasionally when I hold down the power button to turn it off/restart instead of giving me the shutdown menu the home and back buttons start blinking and it takes several tries to get the menu to show up.

The second and more concerning this is 3 times today while shooting in Zoe mode in daylight, I had strange glitches. Here is what I mean:

Anyone else having these issues. I think I might clean off my personal data and bring it back to the Sprint store tomorrow.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I was talking to my friend Morgan, I muted and turned on the speakerphone with my face, hung up on her twice, then my face somehow added another phone call to her and called her, then bridged the phone calls.....

The boom sound was exactly that when you're ear is that close and your speakerphone turns on. Ha.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

This has happened to me one time, and only did the wavy line thing once during the Zoe.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Hi, my phone's notification is going off at 8pm every night but with no info in the notification bar! It's not an alarm or message, I have no idea and it's driving me mad now! Any help would be appreciated!

I think this happens only in the Lock Screen. I've never used an Android or HTC before, so I thought that that's how it works.

When the phone (screen) is unlocked, if I press and hold the Power button, I get the Shutdown/Power Menu, but when I press and hold it on the LockScreen, the Home and Back buttons flash a few times, and the phone restarts. Isn't that how it's supposed to work? :-(

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I am experiencing a very strange hardware bug: if I plug in a HTC headset (from the T-Mobile G2) and start listening to radio, then twist the plug in the socket, the phone goes crazy: it changes the station, starts dialing random numbers from my contacts list, turns on Google Voice search! It does not happen with normal headphones (without microphone and music controls). Can anybody try to replicate this?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

BUG: Battery shows Full even at 95%, when charging, Needs to either have a numerical percentage or some indication showing exactly what it's at.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I had a critical problem with my first HTC one, every time the sound card was engaged for any reason the phone would pretty quickly reset itself. it was definitely a faulty device, I never found anyone having a similar problem, and my carrier replaced the device. new one works fine, but I thought I should share in case anyone has this problem.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Here's an annoying bug. I use the People app to collate my contacts. I have synchronized contacts across Google Contacts, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and WhatsApp. So far, integration is great, however one tiny bug annoys the crap out of me.

To use contact photos, there are options to select from Facebook, WhatsApp, etc etc. However, because this phone has such a fantastic, high pixel density screen. Many of these photos don't scale very well. To combat this, I downloaded high resolution photos of my favorite people to my phone, and selected that photo from the gallery option under contacts.

For some reason, it forces a weird constrain on the photo and makes it wider than it should be. I don't know why, but all the pics are forced into what looks like a square box, even though the crop was a rectangular portrait. Can someone replicate and/or find a solution?

Please note: Asking my friends to update their ***** facebook pics just so my phone can enjoy higher res isn't an option :)

I'm pretty sure it's an issue with Android as a whole, and not specifically Sense. I could be wrong, though. On my One X I noticed the same thing you're talking about. On my Nexus 4, they were fine, but the size was limited. I used the futurama app to make heads for people, so I can't say for sure that they were being resized or not.

I've tried various apps that aim to "fix" this, and none of them really worked all that well.

So basically, it's someone's fault, and I want to place blame, but I don't know exactly where to point. LOL.

Yes. It's like doing a battery pull.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I never even turned on the FM radio. It kept happening when I would switch from normal to Zoe mode and got worse as the day went on. I brought it into the Sprint store the next morning and they said they haven't seen that problem before either. They swapped it out with another new one and sent me on my way. I haven't had any problems so far with this latest one.

Not sure I understand. What app are you using for contacts? I looked for People app in play store and only people magazine. If you are referring to the stock contact app, it works fine for me.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I'm having issues with my One working with my bluetooth. This feature worked perfectly with my iPhone 4 and 5 so feel it is a bug in the One.

I drive a truck over the road so usually my phone is in a cradle plugged into power and the aux jack of the radio as I listen to a lot of audio books and podcasts. I use a Blue Parrot B250xt+ Bluetooth for phone calls. When making a call I use the voice dial extensively. For a couple of days after getting my One it worked fine, but the last couple of days when I hit the button on the Bluetooth to activate voice dialing instead of the voice prompt playing through the Bluetooth speaker it played through the radio via the headphone jack. Thinking it was just confused between the two audio sources I reached up and unplugged the headphone cable and tried again. This time I could barely hear the voice prompt coming from the phone speaker. Restarted both the phone and the Bluetooth with no change. Since this worked fine with my iPhones I suspect a bug in JB.

You'd think that since I'm initiating the voice dial feature from the Bluetooth that it would be a no-brainer for the phone to choose the proper audio channel.

I'm using a US HTC ONE on AT&T.

Yeah, I have heard in several theads similar issues from people who come from iPhone. I would say check and recheck all the menus on the phone, including the google now settings that has a bluetooth setting, check and recheck all the settings on your headset and check and recheck the settings on the radio.

It could be a bug, but it could just be a setting box checked or unchecked somewhere. Hopefully it is a setting as that would be easiest to fix!

Good luck.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Not a bug but i like to see the Notification LED on a little longer for missed calls and txt
.Mine stays for 6 minutes doesnt seem very long?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

This bug just started a few days ago.
When I double tap home to clear out my recently used apps, after swiping them off, the screen then shows the "call ended" from my last call. Like I just hung up. The back button won't work, I have to hit home to get rid of it.
Weird.
