HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Anyone else has this sudden loud sound when a song just starts playing? I use the default music player and this problem only occurs sometimes.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Hello guys, I am having the following problem/bug or whatever... It is as follows, I want to take a picture at a place at full darkness, not even any kind of light, and the phone makes a really blurry photo. It tries to focus at the dark without having its flashlight on and I think that this is the problem, is this normal and if not how csn that problem be solved, is it on software basis or I should leave my phone at the place I bought it and argue with them for a recall and get a new one?
Thank you in advance!

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Ok, sorry if this has already been answered, but I can't seem to find a solution on google or here. A black box has appeared around the top left app icon. It is not present on every screen, just one. I removed the app, but the black square remains. I have noticed in the past that a black box has appeared around other apps, but it went away. This one has not.

Any help on how to get rid of this black box?

On mine when it's dark the camera will activate the LED for a moment after you press the shutter button, that's when it focuses. Then the flash will go full brightness and shutter will snap at the same time and take a picture. If you know what area of the screen the subject is in maybe you can tap that area and it will do a better job of focusing. Also, in the dark a steady hand is even more important to prevent blur.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

You can't take A picture in straight black darkness without the flash. The camera takes LOW light photos meaning there has to be some light present lol turn your flash on

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Nup, I know what this guy means. When taking photos in pitch-black, with flashed turned on, you can tap to focus where you think the subject is but when you take the photo, the flash will go but produce only a blur, instead of a proper photos. Blurry might be the wrong way to describe it, it's not movement but just unfocused.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Hi. I don't know if this has been reported before but after 4.2.2 update I've noticed these bugs:
1. When plugged in/unplugged the phone switches from auto-brightness to manual brightness.
2. Inside HTC Email app when writing with Swiftkey the letters are randomly repeating (bug reported here).

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

1. My phone decided to stop charging. I believe I resolved the problem with a FDR and a handfull of soft resets.

2. My phone on it's own continued to force itself into car mode for no apparent reason. Now it will not stop displaying everything in landscape mode.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Hello, today while at work I noticed that my phone battery died,
went to charge the phone,
once it was turned on all my neatly organised apps (grouped in folders).

Have now suddenly ungrouped and now my menu is full of hundreds off apps unorganised.

Has anyone had the same issue?

First time ever, and now have to reorganise way too many apps all over again.

ps. even the initial grouped google apps ware ungrouped.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

My app drawer wasn't in a proper position when I closed an app. It stayed like this until I touched it.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

My wife's HTC One has problems with the home and back button not responding, also she keeps getting repeat texts.

Posted via Android Central App

If you're using a texting app other than the stock one you have to disable notifications for the app you don't use (all can be found in settings for pretty much every app) for the hone and back button, there was an update released for the sensitivity, also some screen protectors have been known to affect this. Hope this helps!

I'm running 4.1.2 stock with the 1.31.x update and have noticed this glitch while using the Google keyboard from the app store. I did not notice this before the latest update (from Sprint). It's infuriating, especially since I use the HTC email app for my work email.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Anyone having bluetooth issues?

1) The new map update broke bluetooth audio for turn by turn directions. Uninstalling the update makes it work correctly. I see the Beats logo appear during when voice prompts are supposed to sound, but no sound is heard. Bluetooth volume is maxed and navigation voice is enabled. Disabling bluetooth makes them work through the phone speakers. Voice is heard when music playing.

2)The new map update also broke the HTC Car App. Starting to navigate somewhere works, but then if tapping home, and opening navigation again opens the "enter destination" screen once more (it used to return you to the directions), with the turn-by-turn running the background. There is no way to return back to the nav screen. If I reenter the destination and start navigation again, maps crash. In short, the new map update broke the HTC car map multitasking.

3) The addresses in people app also no longer open the map when tapped with new maps update.

4) Finally, (unrelated to maps) I randomly see the beats logo flash for a second in the notification area, as if there is some notification sound, but there isn't one. I'm not sure what app is causing it to appear. If I use Parrot bluetooth, (which mutes car audio when the phone makes a sound) it randomly mutes audio for a few seconds in my car. None of my other phones used to do this. I thought maybe it was a pull to refresh sound, which I then disabled, but that didn't help.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Can you guys please help me out here please?

Ok I've been talking to some reps at HTC and they told me it's a issue with my phone.

What's happening is after being on the phone for over 40 seconds, and I finish my conversation I move the phone away from my ear to hang the phone up. The display doesn't become active again. I have to press the power button so I can hang up the phone.

I swapped my HTC One today for a brand new one updated to 4.2.2 right away and issue it still there.

Can you guys do some testing please? Is this normal or is it a bug?

Thanks,
Josh

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Your new phone probably has a faulty proximity sensor. Take it to service.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

This is my second droid. Both exactly the same. I've had this one for about 6 months now. Everything worked fine til about a month ago. Now, all incoming calls get kicked right to voicemail, my phone never rings, nor does it notify me of a missed call. The pattern lock i set up since day one no longer works. Actually, the lock no longer works. All my settings are as should be. The screen doesn't even come up anymore. Just hours directly to my homepage. Also, when i text somebody, my texts will show yo them as a different contract they have and one time a friend had been trying to call n text me for days. I wouldn't respond because i didn't recognize the name. Once PO investigated further, i discovered that her name in my contacts had changed to a name i didn't even know anybody named that. What the gell is going on? I thought maybe virus? Spyware? Hacker? Malware? So, i downloaded every reputable antivirus/antispyware app that is available, one by one, all came back with the same result-phone if clean. So, i ask again....what the he'll is going on? Can i fix PO t? How? Or...do i their my hands I p and buy a new phone? Please HELP me!
