HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I've got one: Battery Widget Reborn. One of my favorite widgets, however, when you install it to a homescreen the screen immediately locks, then as you unlock the device it keeps locking itself back up immediately. Only a reboot fixes.

That sound like a problem with the app... Maybe a conflict with the OS

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I had a serious BUG.....had my HTC ONE for 3 days and had to return it today. both the back and home buttons were unresponsive at times and the screen would flash in certain spots
in web browser and some apps. just so happened that an HTC rep was at AT&T and said it sounded like hardware issue, (screen ribbon not making a good connection).
got a new one and no issues so far.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

If you want to have your screen stay on while charging it is under settings - Display, gestures and buttons. Second option down is stay awake. Click that to have the device stay awake while charging. Hope this helps.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

One thing I've noticed is that there doesn't seem to be a way to control the settings for the notification light when it comes to new messages received in the Gmail app. I have notifications enabled within the Gmail app but there's apparently no way to configure the notification light to not blink when a new Gmail message is received. I'd prefer the light not blink when I get a new Gmail message but still have the new icon message appear in the menu bar. Disabling the light for "Mail" in the Display - Settings area on the One has no impact on this, so I assume that's only for usage with the stock Mail app on the phone.

Certainly not a major deal but still a bit annoying for me.
I think support for LED notifications is the responsibility of the app. Facebook will let you configure this in the app settings for example, you'll have to check for the option in GMail app itself not the in phone settings.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Had my ONE for a week now, love everything about it, a genuine upgrade from my Galaxy S3, and that was pretty good.
But one thing annoys me, in Emails I have to click "Display images" on every email.
On the S3 there was an option in the account settings to always show images.
Have I missed something or is there any other way around this?

Sorry, one more thing. HTC, we need a percentage figure next to the battery icon.
You can only guess to about the nearest 20% with the icon alone and I need it more accurate than that.
I would go out in the evening with 30% battery, but not 10%.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I haven't experienced this so far.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I found another on the Swype forum mention this, and I experienced it as well.

For some reason, Swype has stopped autospacing in the e-mail client. It only does it while writing in the body of the e-mail, and no where else that I have noticed (not in subject, or in any other app I have tried). I have tried disabling and re-enabling autospace, and switching out to the HTC Sense Input keyboard and back. Also tried a power off/on without any luck. I have 3 accounts, and it has done it on all of them. I guess I could switch to K-9 and give that a try.

The behavior is that it highlights the word after I lift my finger, then without spacing, puts the other word right next to it. It hasn't been as much of a pain since HTC Sense Input also has the tracing feature that Swype has, but I am just used to Swype.

If anyone finds a way to fix this, I would be grateful. :D

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I noticed that "App Associations" is no longer an option within the settings menu. Anyone know how to change the default apps for certain actions (e.g. Urls open with chrome beta)?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Not really a bug, but can you remove the carrier name from the lock screen and put your name there?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Ditto on the capacitive button sensitivity. Both home and back take an extra tap or two at times. Also they don't always backlight properly. Otherwise this is the most solid Android experience I've had. Loving this phone.

Wondering same thing myself. You get no option to use chrome in place of the stock browser.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

+1 I tend to "miss" a lot when pressing the capacitive buttons. Mine are not back lit, and i can't find any settings to turn the back lighting on.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I noticed URLs in some apps do redirect to chrome while others use HTCs Internet app. Looks like HTC has a few glitches to patch in the upcoming update.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I noticed last night a few times that when the screen was locked and go to unlock it that it would not, no matter how many times I pulled up on the screen. A quick restart seems to fixed that. We'll see if it continues.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

It is a bug when the remove 'icon' disappears within about 10 milliseonds after you lift off the icon or home screen panel you are trying to remove or delete?
