HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Maybe not a "bug" but an RFE - I would like to allow Facebook feeds in my BlinkFeed, but I do NOT want Facebook pics in my Gallery. Ever.

Agreed! And I would consider that a bug.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

When playing O2Jam U, the on-screen buttons tend to get stuck as being pressed. First phone I've used that has this issue. This only happens when 3 or more places are touched on the screen at the same time, the phone's input seems to be limited to only 2 buttons.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I've noticed a few tines where I went to play a song in the HTC player and the volume dropped slightly after a few seconds of playing. Turning it up doesn't remedy the volume drop. Sometimes it reverts back to the original volume once the song is changed.

To clarify, it doesn't turn the software volume down, but acts more like the hardware speakers become a little quieter.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Mine gets painfully hot I guess that's not a bug but a design flaw. It got this way when using the HTC transfer app to move pics and msgs to the One. but that was understandable (at least somewhat) but also when I had the screen on for a half hour while reading. Anyone else or is it just me?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

My wifes One will not send SMS consistently. Most of the time messages will not send, but will OCCASIONALLY. I tried to send SMS, failed, then sent MMS with picture and went right through. Spent a couple of hours on with Sprint Tech support (one chat, on phone call) to no avail through multiple network, PRL and other updates. Took in to the Sprint store and thought we had it fixed. The rep said that sometimes on some new phones on other networks a 1+ area code is needed, not simply area code + number. This did not explain texts to number on same account not working, but it worked at the store to multiple numbers on multiple networks after adding 1+. Went home and quit working again. Performed a factory reset last night, did not help. She sent me a text from a church parking lot this morning at it went through, went home, tried again and failed to send. We have an Airave booster, and I wonder if that is non compliant with the new device?

With the Airave you need to unplug then plug back in should remedy the not being able to send text messages.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Here is a biggie I have found.. I transferred all my music and pics over from my old phone by copying to computer, then moving over to my phone. Everything seemed to work fine with no issues, all pics and music showed up. Looking at some of my pics in my DCIM folder, I decided to make folders to put them in to organize things better. I created folders, moved the pics over from DCIM to the appropriate folders, and now the pics that I moved dont show up at all. I can see them thru es file explorer, even click on them and view them, but if I go into my gallery, they just dont even show up! Same happened with some music. I downloaded some music, and it put the downloaded music in a media folder. I then transferred the music over to my music folder, and guess what, couldnt see them from the player. They were there if I looked in my file explorer, but my stock htc music player dont see them. If i click on a song thru es file explorer, it will play with the stock music player, but when I go into the music player itself, it dont see the music. Anyone else having this issue?

Quick update: Ive noticed if you move the pics from folder to folder within the gallery itself, by going to menu, move to, it works fine and everything is great. Its just using a file explorer that they dont show up.

Second update: Ive found that if you copy the files over to computer, then copy them back to phone, they show up! WTF?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I'm finding the Back and Home buttons are not always responsive. They usually work normally, but sometimes they require multiple determined presses to activate.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

The bug that will eventually kill this phone is the non responsive buttons. Reminds me of the issue with the nexus one, and HTC could not fix it then, hopefully they can fix it on the one. My one x had no such issues.

There is a calibration screen in settings, it fixed it for me

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Had my ONE for a week now, love everything about it, a genuine upgrade from my Galaxy S3, and that was pretty good.
But one thing annoys me, in Emails I have to click "Display images" on every email.
On the S3 there was an option in the account settings to always show images.
Have I missed something or is there any other way around this?
Has anyone figured out how to fix this? It's not a huge issue, but a minor PITA.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I don't know if anyone is having this problem but my phone won't switch the notification tone. I tried switching it from Lime to Teal, and even though it shows as changed in my settings as Teal the notification sound is still Lime.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Here are my issues with my new HTC One:

* Home / Back buttons become unresponsive at times. Sometimes I have to press longer on them to get them to work (which ultimately ends me at Google Now 1/2 the time) [This is KILLING me.. .calibration didn't help]

* In Go SMS, I can no longer set the 'system ring tone' radio button. I can set that radio button, but do not get the option to select a ringtone with this phone (worked just fine on EVO 3D, btw)

* Voice texting now barely works. What I mean by that is when I select voice texting (Swype, Swiftkey, any) it just hangs 95% of the time. I know that when the Google service isn't available there can be issues.. but this just hangs, no voice input is allowed. I have to hit the back key (fun getting that to work) to get away from the voice input. All the 'areas' where it worked on my EVO 3D (i.e., good signal locations near towers, etc) do not work or work on rare occasion now.

* Bluetooth Audio - While I had no problem pairing and hearing BT audio in my Jaybird headset, pairing to my car was ridiculous. Well, pairing was easy... it was 'hearing' that was painful :) It connected and my car even KNEW when it was connected and responded appropriately (except for sound). Example: When playing spotify, if i paused the song, it would show paused in the car. If I turned the car from AUX to radio, it would auto-pause the song in Spotify as it should. But no sound ever :( This morning, it worked for no apparent reason. I'm happy, but bewildered.

that's all I can think of for now, but they are big enough that I may (don't want to) switch to the GS4 :(

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Where is that setting located?

Is the calibration setting the one used for the keyboard?

I also find it interesting that none of the reviewers mentioned a problem with the home and back buttons. This is killing an otherwise good experience with this phone.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

yeah, that's the only calibration I have found... under settings, language & keyboard , HTC Sense Input > Advanced > Calibration Tool

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I haven't been able to find a way to disable vibrate on the default alarm app. Any help or is there no option for it?
