HTC One: This is THE BUG Thread.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I'm getting lots of staticy/weird muffled noises when talking to someone on the phone, but only when they talk.. that I didn't get on my tbolt before this. Any way to fix this in settings or does it just have to do with my tmobile trying to talk to verizon?

Also, I have full wifi connect, but it's still soooooo slow for some reason. I'm also unable to get anything past 2G.. sometimes it'll skip from 2G to 4G, but no 3G, and 99% of the time it's on 2G. (I do live in a 4G area, so I should have full 4G coverage)

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Anybody notice any speaker lag? I think my audio is lagging the video by a few milliseconds.

For example, when I play the 'Drive by' song on my One, the lipsynching is slightly off. I don't remember which one was slower, audio or video. When I play the same video on my computer, I can see that there's little to no lag or lip-synching problems. I was initially playing the video on my YouTube app on my One, but I even tried running it in the browser, and I could still notice the lag.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I got a nice random one. Was listening to Pandora, and like i would normally do with my previous iphone, i dialed a phone call while pandora was playing. Pandora paused, and right when the person i called picked up, Pandora started playing again inside my ear piece, not through the speakerphone. I killed the process in the home double tab menu, yet it kept playing. I hung up the phone, paused the music, and called the person back. Scared the crap out of me when it happened. Damn near dropped my phone.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

The home and back button become unresponsive at times. Multitasking will restart apps at times.

Same here!! The home and back sometimes don't respond, I hope this update over seas helps fix this!

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

How did you calibrate it? I have read many different ways...any input would be appreciated!

Thank you! I ran calibration and the back and home buttons respond better for me as well. I used to have to press several times.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

after dealing with the issues for only a week, I decided just to return for the GS4 :( I want to love this phone, but I hate the bugs too much.

Maybe you've done this already, but since you want to love the phone, have you tried getting your phone replaced, in case it's a hardware issue you're having.

Anyway, do post your impressions, and a comparison if you can, after you get your S4 :)

Yeah, because unlike ALL other manufacturers, Samsung phones have zero issues upon release. . .

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

So I'm having two issues with my Developer Edition HTC One:
- "Drag to unlock" on the lock screen isn't working - you just tap the screen and it unlocks going to the home screen (or, if you tap an item in the dock, to launch that app). Lock screen is active but I'm not using a PIN or pattern. Initially it was working when I first set up the phone but it stopped after a couple of hours.
- If I press "Decline" on an incoming call from either the lock screen or when the phone is unlocked the One answers the call. So no matter what I press (Decline or Answer) the One picks up. This one is unacceptable, and I can't find any fixes online, so I'm going to bite the bullet and do a factory reset and see if it goes away.

NOTE: A couple of us have tracked down the reason for this, and it's kind of a significant bug: basically if you turn on "Accessibility" for any application (i.e. Tasker, LIght Flow, Pebble, etc.) this will break the "drag to unlock" functionality on the lock screen, so just a "tap" on the lock screen will unlock the phone. While that in itself isn't the end of the world, it causes other functions to not work either, like dismissing a call (as when you touch the screen it immediately unlocks the phone and answers the call, even if you touched "decline"), and things like using music controls on the lock screen (i.e. if you press pause it will work, but also immediatly unlock the phone).

This behaviour has been documented on my unlocked Developer Edition phone and another user's stock AT&T HTC One. Trying to get clarification from HTC if this is a known bug or not, and if the fix is included in the new software update that is reportedly being release to European phones.

Why even post this?

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

We have had the Airave unplugged over 24 hours and no SMS issues. I will Plug it back in and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up, will report back in if it fails again with Airave in use.

plugged in Airave, problem persists. Attempted to update PRL with Airave off, turned off the One, plugged in Airave, restarted the One, problem persists. next is a call to Airave support. Read a couple of individuals on XDA only fixed the issue after some reprogramming of the Airave with help from support.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I went there must be blind I don't see that setting under there I see display auto rotate font and brightness..

If you want to have your screen stay on while charging it is under settings - Display, gestures and buttons. Second option down is stay awake. Click that to have the device stay awake while charging. Hope this helps.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

wow, good call! changed it and will watch the next few hours. thanks!!

There is a settings tweak in the Power Save mode to toggle vibrations. I think the default is no vibrations. See if that works.

at first it looked like it worked but it's back - i put the phone on vibrate and a few minutes later it's back on silent. i keep missing calls at work where i NEED the vibrate setting to work....

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

I rebooted my phone and Im still getting poping sounds on calls. Tmobile wants me to factory reset the phone...I just got the phone 3 days ago. This is frustrating to no end. I love the phone. If the facotry reset doesnt work they want to send another phone.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

Did you try rebooting phone after you moved the files. Android often need to reboot after moving pic files to get all thumbnails and such to appear properly.

Re: This is THE BUG Thread.

My Thunderbolt did this, usually on longer calls.
