I see. So the rounded back works like a handle of sorts. HTC One is the world's first handle-back phone. That's pretty badass.

I didn't know flat-back phones were jumping out of people's hands, but I can see where the handle-back would come in handy.

Still I think I would prefer a removable battery to the handle-back. And wouldn't it have been possible to have a removable handle-back? I thought the failure to have the back removable was a matter of finish, not shape.

Still, loving the concept of the handle-back ultra pixel phone!

I'm not trying to sass you, but why not get a badass S4 with 13mp camera with low light setting? That way the pictures won't look like rat turd.

I can picture the boardroom meeting where HTC execs are looking at spec comparisons, very concerned about 4mp vs 13mp cameras.

A marketing guru says to the others not to worry, he takes a pen and marks through the prefix "mega" next to the 4 and writes the word "ultra." Next he writes the words, "patented technology." There is confused silence around the boardroom followed by spontaneous uproarious applause. All fixed.

And people say Samsung is gimmicky.

A metal back is different than an entirely metal phone.

Getting rid of the unibody would be idiotic. It creates a much more durable and high quality device that will be less prone to damage and common pitfalls of devices like Samsung's.

Honestly a removable battery on a phone should be common sense...I mean why would anyone want the battery stuck in the phone, and if something happens they are pretty much ****ed...Some people may say they dont need a removable battery, but they can just leave it in there, but a non removeable battery is pretty dumb to me

I think companies do that so just in case the phone messes up, they are forced to send it in a pay for repairs...I am pretty sure thats why Apple does it

No, apple does it because it allows them to build the most compact phone possible. They also do it, frankly, because the only people that care about a removable battery is a tiny percentage of users.

In my defense, I would like to declare that it was I, ZarathustraHead, who guided this discussion towards both the HTC's 4mp camera and its lack of removable battery, both of which have been driving this thread forward with a tremendous momentum and led to thrilling, if at times spirited, debate. While my style may be at times misguided, the value of the substance of my contributions is irrefutable.
