HTC one users. HELP

Hey guys.
i have some question about my htc one.
got mine updated yesterday to 4.4.2 kitkat,
what's bothering me is that an (N) like i con appear beside my signal bars.
don't know what it is. because before i updated my phone its not there.

hope you can tell me what it its.

that just means you have NFC turned ON.

if you want to turn it off go to your phone's settings > wireless & networks > more > NFC.
