HTC One V vs HTC Evo V?

I might be able to switch to VM due to the really nice 20% off sale and an upcoming birthday. I was wondering- what's the better phone? I'm not an incredibly heavy user, but I'd like my phone to handle anything that's thrown at it, which is mostly texting, Facebook, browsing, Netflix, HD video, occasional gaming (Minecraft PE, Zenonia 4, Angry Birds) and etc. I don't think my dad minds the $80 difference if it's worth it. Btw, don't care about the gimmicky 3D effect, I've tried it out :p Also, I like dev communities, I tend to mess with my phone ^_^

And another question outright (didn't want to make 2 threads)- I was wondering whether to get a new phone or a Nexus 7. I currently have a LG Optimus S by the way. Not on Sprint, it's on a Sprint subsidiary called iWireless by Kroger. Sprint is too expensive xD So nothing more expensive than VM's plans.

The only one I'm experience with is the evo. The evo sucks. The radio interface problem with texting. It's terrifying

Huh? I've been looking up reviews for the Sprint one (the Evo 3D), and they all seem rock solid... either way, would a custom ROM help remedy that problem?

The virgin mobile evo is told to give you the worst texting/radio problems and I heard the 4g is terrible. I'm getting the one v tomorrow for 160$ the one v is more solid, sense 4, slimmer and I just like the feel. And you save 80$.. and the screen is 4dpi from the evo so same resolution so you get a beautiful display.

Looked up a reviewer on YT, he wasn't a big one who got his units free of charge either, had no network problems other than it refused to turn on once. Nothing that big, my Optimus does that too, just a glitch.. And he said the 4G was absolutely wonderful. This was on the Evo V. And the only reason why I'm kind of ehh on the One V is that it has a 1GHz SINGLE core processor. I'm afraid it won't get updated. Besides, I've felt the power of the Evo 3D and it was magnificent... I don't mind too much for not getting Sense 4, 3.6 seems fine to me.

I would say get the Htc Evo V, because since your paying 35$ for both 3g and 4g you might as well get the 4G phone.
