HTC One V

It's official, I'm ordering this phone Friday. I wish they were selling the grey version, but oh well.

Edit: next Friday. -__-

What do you mean the gray version... it looks gray to me... or is it technically black? I wish it was white and didn't have that chin.

Is it grey? I can't tell. I like the chin too. Reminiscent of the G1 or Legend.

My only gripe with this and the elite it's lack of front facing camera. Spec wise it's not too bad.

Then it would've cost a lot more. 200$ for a 1 GHz device isn't bad. Especially since it's a relevant and recent device.

Incorrect the 1Ghz dual-cores(released last year) are cheaper to build with but they use alot more power to run. HTC is just trying to be greener.

I would of paided $50 more for the dual-core and bought an extended battery later since I do for all my devices.

I feel torn. I love my Optimus V but the One V is a real good look as far as upgrades go. Make matters worse I just bought a WFS for my girlfriend. What's a man to do???

Get the One V, it is cheap, fast for the price, has a good build, and has quite a decent camera.

As for comparisons with the Optimus V, I have never used that phone so I don't think I'm really qualified to comment on that. But I did love the One V while I had it and I wholeheartedly recommend it if you are looking for a budget phone.

Cores are overrated, my friend's Lumia 900 has a single core and it still ran smoother than a huge majority of the Android phones out there. Cores aren't everything unless you absolutely need better graphical horsepower or you operate with an ungodly number of apps at the same time,

But since this puppy lacks a removable battery, I don't quite see how an extended battery for the One V would be possible.

Sent from a Purple LG-LS670 with CM9...the New Wolzard Phone...yes.

Just because it isn't easily removable doesn't mean that it can't be replaced. I'm sure the phone can be disassembled but i don't know if any extended batteries will be available...

I checked one at at my local Best Buys and liked it. Very nice phone. I'm not in the position to get one but I may consider it a replacement possibility for my old man's OV if needed.
This phone is a bit "skinny" for my taste, and possibly my old man's eyeballs.
A bigger screen would be better, but for the money, it's nice. If anyone can cough up the extra $100 bucks, get the HTC EVO V Bigger screen, bigger everything!
Size does matter when your talking phones.
