HTC One X Jellybean Bug List

If I'm in the browser and tap the menu key (at top, next to Tabs) the menu drops down for a second, flickers, and then disappears.

HTC still doesnt take me back to my songs list in the stock player when I hit the arrow which is so dumb of them. And the player doesn't show my recently played albums either?

Also is typing worse for anyone? The keys look so much smaller for me and my typing has gotten a LOT worse.

And the status bar randomly appears for no reason.

I'm having the same issue with the status bar popping up at random intervals. It's getting really annoying. Also, I have Swiftkey instead of the normal typing. I had no problems with ICS, but since the update, the PIN on my lock screen has defaulted to Swiftkey which is a lot smaller than the standard HTC number pad.

I had to jump on my computer since I cant understand my keyboard on my phone. I updated earlier today and everything was great until my area for the keyboard while using sms started to look scrambled and now looks like this everytime the keyboard comes up. This is a huge problem, anyone else experiencing this?

I just uninstalled gosms app and restarted the phone. I also unchecked swipe, spell check, etc. and it seems to be fine for now. I also have noticed that my screen is brighter than before when auto brightness is set. I see that some of the internal color bars, like volume are blue while some of the things like the battery stayed green in color.

My Google Navigation also crashes after several seconds. So disappointed since the only real improvement I noticed was the smoother transitions and Google Now, which otherwise I had on my nexus 7. I hope there could be a fix soon.

I feel sorry for all you guys... I did the update today around 1pm Pacific Time and I have had absolutely no issues. WiFi good. Navigation good. Battery life is waaayyyyyy better. Doesn't run hot, if anything it's cooler. Runs fluid smooth, unlike ICS.

So don't give up, mine runs good. Good luck.

Oh one more problem I found with update. My Foxfi doesn't work over wifi!!!! Can still tether tablet with bluetooth but it's some extra steps and annoying. Damn ATT Hotspot nazis!!! I'm so dissapointed with the update so far. I am going to call ATT today to complain.

Problems after upgrading my AT&T HTC One X:

1. Like some of you, the phone's been having trouble maintaining a wifi connection. Sometimes it cycles connecting/dropping. When it does connect, it can last for 5 minutes or so before it drops and repeats the process. I had no trouble prior to the upgrade. Also the power saver toggle doesn't seem to have any affect on this.
2. The front facing camera is acting up with self portraits. I'm doing this indoors with so-so artificial lighting. With JB, the front camera now has some kind of face recognition indicated by a white box that tracks your face. Take a snap and you'll see for a brief sec, the area around your eyes brightens. The image still appears normal on the screen but when you check your gallery, the weird processing has caused the face to brighten up and the pupils completely darkened resulting in a crazy picture. Zombie like. If you manage to take a picture without the white tracking box engaged (no option to turn this off), then the picture is normal just like before the upgrade. I haven't had a chance to try this in good outdoor lighting but it's definitely happening indoors with artificial lighting.

Pros:
1. The power saving option really does extend battery life quite a bit. I have to try running down the battery with it off to see if there's any improvement vs. pre-upgrade.

Screenshots were taking forever after my update.... Like I would hit power + home and five to six minutes later I would hear the shutter sound and get a pic of whatever I was doing then.

Today however it seems snappy (pun somewhat intended).

No issues with WiFi. This far no bouts of missing calls or txts either...

Did a factory reset and that resolved the wifi issues. I'm still having problems with that funky front facing camera and self portraits though.

Can anyone please help. After update WiFI not working. How to step down or how to do factory reset back to 4.0
Thanks

RE: Degraded Battery Life post Jelly Bean: I have experienced this same situation described in earlier posts: significantly poorer battery life and the phone warmer to the touch (near the camera lens). I use Battery Widget so can see specifically I've gone from an expected drain time of over 1.5 days (when fully charged) to an estimate of under 19 hours (again, when fully charged). In addition, the battery usage section used to identify WiFi and Screen as the biggest power draining items. Now it is consistently HTC Sense, Android System and Android OS.

Anyone have any suggestions other than a factory reboot?

You should go to settings-apps-all apps-and find HTC sense, clear cache/data and see if that helps

A factory data reset has helped some but I'm all but decided that I'm rolling back to ICS this weekend (I found an RUU for the 2.20 OS the other day) resetting the phone is going to be pain enough that I want to go back to something that works. Google Now is the only real benefit I've seen thus far and I have that on other devices.

A factory testy is done under

Settings > backup &reset > reset phone but remember this will completely wipe the phone (including storage )

I find the keyboard a little less responsive, but everything else on the phone has been fine. I do have an occasional hiccup where when I close the camera app, or unlock the phone that the background will go black for a second or two.

I have experienced major clock issues since upgrading to Jelly Bean. For example, I will set my alarm at night for 6:20 and plug in the phone and go to bed. I will wake up at 6:30 (with no alarm going off yet) and look at my phone and the display will say 5:45 for example. After looking at it for a few seconds it will finally update and show 6:30. Sometimes the clock widget will update to 6:30 much faster than the notification bar in the top right, which may take 30-60 seconds. Obviously this is a pretty major issue and makes my phone worthless as an alarm clock.

Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Not sure this makes a difference but do you have power saver on? Check the data connection option about sleeping when the screen is off.

I'm still having problems with my front camera after the hard reset -- after the face tracking box engages, self portraits are guaranteed to be screwed up. No one else with this issue?

streetgravy - My first thought was to check the power saver so I did try it without power saver on and got the same response. I'll check the data connection option as well, my next step is to try a factory reset and hope that fixes it.
