Oh, and my replacement came with a new SIM card, SD card, manual, charger, etc... Put the new SIM card in, swapped the SD card, and away I went.

I always laugh at them denying insurance claims..... so if I drop it in the water, you won't care, but if I open phone myself, it matters....... ok, so I ran it over with my car and it opened up.

Don't worry. As you mature you will gain more "life knowledge" and your experiences will improve.

And doing that to Verizon makes it right? To deceive? People who take advantage are the very reason why policies change. The people who have legitimate claims end up paying more because of those who think they deserve special attention. Mfg warranty covers a lot except water damage theft lost phones. If there is a mfg defect Verizon will make it right.
The phones are expensive. I worked for an indirect and we would pay over 200.00 for one device. Pricing depends on the model.

I don't expect special attention, I just expect insurance to be insurance. I am paying for my phone to be protected, regardless if its from myself.

I am going to buy a new lcd and digitizer assembly and replace it. My situation. I took the insurance off the phone a week later I dropped the phone and cracked the screen. Only took the insurance off because Verizon made me eligible for another upgrade after switching to a new plan. So I don't plan on keeping the T bolt. Maybe go for the Galaxy Nexus.

I was reading this bc I have cracked my screen as well. I just wanted to say I don't know how you all are getting new phones, every insurance claim i have ever done I recieved refurbs. My husband bought a Droid Razr Maxx in June he shattered it in July at work and they sent us a refurb for him and he hates it.

I had my screen replaced by a friend and it costs 60$ for screen + digitizer, plus he charged me 30 $ to do it. If youre not comforable melting down the adhesive dont do it yourself.

Do not buy the screen and digitizer seperate even if only one is broken. You or a friend that is able to do it will most likely break both separating the two original pieces.

I'm with Texarkana Tablet Repair and I repair them for $55 + parts which is about $70.
