HTC Sense Home Update Problems

HTC One M8 running Marshmallow - After the recent Sense Home update, I've had a number of problems. The screen will lock immediately after using dot view and several apps won't work at all, especially weather. I wiped the cache, which didn't help. I uninstalled and reinstalled Sense Home, which only wiped out all my screens and didn't fix the problem.

Anyone else having this issue?

I am having the exact same issues. I can't figure it out. I installed another weather app & it works fine. The HTC Sense app, had issues as well. When I pressed the home button, it would only allow me to use the KID SAFE mode or Sense mode... I didn't want to use either of these but I had no other option. Any info I had on my screens were gone & other apps are acting up.

My girlfriend has the exact same thing happening on her M8 after the update today. It was on lollipop, but she can't even go into settings to see if it tried to update to Marshamallow. Has all the problems you are having.

She is going to attempt a factory reset(fingers crossed). I'm not there to do it myself so hopefully it works out. If it fixes the problem I'll let you know.

Seems the factory reset fixed the problems, but the APN setting got messed up so I will have to fix that. Always something!

Hi, I know this thread is somewhat old but I also wanted to share my fix which doesn't require a factory reset and worked great for me, in case anyone still has this problem.

What I did was I opened the settings menu through the icon you see when you pulll down the notification bar. Then I went to Apps and searched for the sense app. I taped on it and chose "Storage" (or whatever it is called in the english menu). In that menu I deleted all of the apps data and it's cache. After that everything worked fine again. I only had to rearange all icons on the homescreen.
If it doesn't help try doing a full wipe of the cache through the recovery menu first.

Hope I could help someone:)

u hit the nail for me!! thank u! i have been reading threads everywhere just to find the cure and, AT LAST!! thank you!
