HTC Sense TV app.

Best OEM app that's ever done been did, mmhmm. I somehow found a way to be even lazier when watching TV.

One unsung feature I don't see being talked about is how you can click on a TV show and the phone will jump to that channel for you. Hot.

It's great except it has no button for the Tivo guide, so I have little use for it.

I like it, but I wish you could select shows that are coming up and it would just flip to that channel. Right now you have to wait until the exact time... they should at least give us a few minutes before to flip over so we dont miss anything.

I don't care to look for my remotes anymore. Thanks HTC for making me lazier!

I'm amazed at how well it works. Only took minutes to set up my Samsung TV, Tivo, and LG sound system. Love it!

I can't get any of my two TVs to work - not even with learning the buttons from the original remotes. Luckily I found a good app that connects to my DirecTV receivers and that works nicely.

I really wish I could add my XBox because that is what I use the most for watching TV shows. Blu-Ray player support would be nice too

Well, for your Xbox you could always download the SmartGlass app right?

Yes but it would be nice to be able to do at least some basic control from th app I'm using for my sound system and tv. Plus smart glass on android isn't that great compared to Windows RT (where I've used it most)

lol I love using it..Its even more fun to go over to a friends house and change his channels on him/her then acting like you know nothing about it!

Anyone know how to get a guide button for DirecTv added? Thanks.

You can customise the buttons. I changed the mute button to work as the guide button. When in the remote program, hit the menu button. Then go to button setup. You can reprogram buttons by selecting which one you want to reprogram and holding your actual remote at the phone then hitting the function you want that button to perform. It's pretty self explanatory when you get into the menu.

Went through and set up the app to work with my TV and Directv receiver, then forgot that I did it as I had a bunch of other stuff going on at the time.

I went back into the TV app and was poking around, browsing various TV programs' info when I stumbled upon a program currently playing and when I tapped the program icon, my receiver immediately changed over to it. It did it once more, tuning to another program as I clicked on it's icon before I realized what was going on.

For about ten seconds my mind thought my phone and receiver had found a way to communicate on their own, read my mind, and were choosing shows to watch before I had time to consider if I actually wanted to watch them or not.

Love this phone, the app, and the ability of the two (plus the kick over to Blinkfeed) to work together so effortlessly like that.

I use a combination of the HTC remote and the new Verizon FiOS remote. The FiOS one works through the WiFi network and, obviously, the HTC remote is IR.

I love it. Even the old RCA TV from like ten years ago that we have in the spare bedroom is able to be controlled by my phone. I'm highly impressed with it and now I'm king of the TV and the kids hate it! Muyahahahah!!!!

I wish it had an "i hate this" or "thumbs down" and a "hide" button in addition to the favorites button. Too much junk shows up that I would never watch, but must admit the ability to flip isn't bad. Also wish it had an easier way to reselect channels if you decide to pay for a new one.

I only have one issue that would be very easy to address in a program.

I don't use a cable box, so my TV uses Clear QAM channels for HD (i.e. Channel 2 is SD, channel 125.2 is the HD channel).

If I touch "Big Bang Theory" the emote changes my tv to channel 2... I know the corresponding channels for a few of my favorite channels, but it would be nice if I could enter them into the TV app and have it switch to HD on its own.

Am I missing something? If not, is there an HTC avenue for suggestions? Is there an app on the app store with this sort of functionality?
