HTC trade up--- ANYONE get any updates yet??

had frequent email communication with HTC throughout the process so I am speaking from personal experience. With regard to them answering my emails - they were always timely (never took more than 48-hrs. to respond) and thorough in their answers.
I agree. They are pretty prompt at replying to emails. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than a day for a response the last 4-5 times I contacted them.

The trade-up credit though is another thing. I think I sent my phone sometime end of May or June, and I haven't received the credit yet. The latest response I got from HTC was that my card would arrive before August 9th, so they still have a couple of days before I email them again.

I have probably sent HTC 4-5 emails regarding the status of my Visa gift card because whenever I went to the HTC Trade Up website to check the status of my rebate it stated "Reward Issued: June 14 (estimated)" for over a month. That's when I started emailing HTC directly. This was the last email they sent me before I received the rebate:

Dear David,

Thank you for your email.

We apologize as there was a delay in our fulfillment department. Sorry for the inconvenience that you may have experienced. Our fulfillment center is now processing your reward card for $100. Please allow 7-10 days for process to be completed and additional 7-10 days for mail delivery.

We appreciate your patience in this matter.

Sincerely,

Suzanne

I received that email on 7/10 and if it took the maximum time they claimed in their email I would not have received the Visa card until 7/30 but I got it on 7/19 which I can't complain about. They tell you in the beginning that the whole process can take 60-days. I received my rebate in under that so I am happy with the process and was very impressed with how quickly HTC replied to my emails. 48-hrs. was the longest it for them to respond but other messages were answered within 24-hrs. and one email was even answered within a few hours on the same day.

DON'T SEND YOUR PHONE TO HTC TRADE UP, THIS IS A SCAM!

Sent my phone back in February 2013. Sent email status inquiry's to HTC Support every month, they responded that my rebate was being processed except payment in 30 days. Then I received this email back on May 29th,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Your trade has been received and you should expect your prepaid VISA card within three weeks.

Well August is here and haven't received anything, so made another inquiry to HTC Support and this response came,

Dear James,
Thank you for your e-mail.
Our records show your reward card was mailed in April. Please verify the address we have on file for you. Once verified, we will contact our fulfillment center to have the first card deactivated and a new card issued.
Please allow 10-12 business days for processing and an additional 5-7 business days for mail delivery.
My direct contact information is below:

Please contact us with any additional questions or concerns.
Thank you.

Funny! Why did they send me email on 5/29/13 stating my card was on the way, when Robert Tap is saying it was mailed in April?

As of today, have not received anything from HTC, in fact they have stopped answering all my status inquiries. So far have sent 20 inquiries with no response. In the process of reporting them to the BBB maybe we can get something rolling with them.

Would suggest selling your phone on eBay, which is a lot safer.

What my experience has taught me, I will never purchase another HTC product again. Hello Samsung!

Well, it looks like I got taken by this scam as well. I got a $200 estimate on my GS3 when I mailed it. After not getting a notification they received it I contacted support by email. They stated it was received and I would get my reward by 10/25. I checked the site today and they updated, but to my surprise they changed the estimate to $40 saying the phone was not "fully functional". This is a lie, that phone didn't have a scratch on it. Supposedly the card was sent on 10/2, still haven't received it yet. I'm sick with the feeling that I have been taken by a scam sponsored by HTC. Is there any recourse?

I had an issue but the helpful customer service people took care of me incredibly fast. Long story short, I hadn't received my card but the website said it was issued. I emailed customer service and they sent me a new card within a couple of days.

I sent in my AT&T (HTC) Tilt 2 on June 17th and I got my 100.00 Visa card in July.
